Greasy Squid 09-07-2008, 03:26 PM Hello everyone,
Kings fan here. I am in no way trolling when I ask about your CAP situation. From what I understand, per nhlnumbers.com (http://nhlnumbers.com/overview.php?team=ANA&season=0809), you guys are currently 1.313 over the Salary Cap limit.
The reason for this inquiry is to see, first off, if you guys are looking to move Scheinder at all. And if so, would you guys be willing to trade him to the Kings for Calder? Calder's CAP hit is $2.8 this season, and he would become an UFA at the end of this year; just like Scheinder.
And if this trade makes sense to you guys, then what else, in your opinion, would have to be added, by either side, to make this deal go down?
You thoughts and comments would be much appreciated.

we want to clear as much salary as we can. we still want to sign selanne

We can't take any salary back at all. We'll gladly take a pick or better a prospect but Schneids will be a pure and simple salary dump.
Greasy Squid 09-07-2008, 04:58 PM So how about Constantin Braun (http://www.hockeysfuture.com/prospects/constantin_braun), or Dwight King (http://www.hockeysfuture.com/prospects/dwight_king), and let's say a 4th or 5th round pick (maybe even a 3rd) for Schneider?

King and a 4th should easily be enough to get Schnieder.

Know nothing about those prospects and didn't want to read up on them...I accept.
Theridion 09-08-2008, 03:11 AM We can throw in Marchant too.
King for Marchant, Schneider, and a 4th... heck, this is Burke we're talking about. Make it a 2nd.
arinkrat* 09-08-2008, 09:56 PM Doesn't Marchant have a NTC?

Yes.

:shakehead
Does any Ducks fan notice which one (1) player is missing in the calculations, which then explains why the Ducks are really more than $1.3 million over?

While it's true that a certain 1.9 million dollar player is missing on that site, I'm also not 100% sure this player will be on the team. It's possible he's sent down because of cap/salary reasons and because he may not be able to play LW better than other options. So the Ducks may or may not be more than 1.3 million over.
Spankatola Jamnuts 09-10-2008, 12:33 AM Yeah, we all know the situation here, it's been discussed to death. The shakehead exasperation was retarded overkill.

I and many others [and I'm not just talking about posters on HF] will be shocked if Bobby Ryan doesn't start the season in the NHL.
