Anyone notice that Burke says that Sundin's agent says there's SEVEN teams in the running? Whereas the same agent in public says that there's only 6 teams after him? That's odd.

And Burke confirms that Mats is holding up trades, although he doesn't say that they're holding up a Schneider trade specifically.

If that's true (and I imagine it is), could you imagine how irate some GMs will be if Sundin just decides to retire right before the season? Hopefully a move that involves Schneider isn't being held up because of Sundin.

I think that's exactly what Burke was saying is happening. Burke will likely move Schneider as soon as he can to make some salary room, but how can he do that if many possibly interested teams are holding their breath waiting to hear from Sundin first? I think Burke was saying that some teams that might be interested in taking Schneider off our hands aren't making any deals cus they're also holding out hope to snag Sundin.

It's a shame really, but what can we do? Other than send irate emails, letters, and phone calls to Sundin and his agent telling him to hurry the ******* up. :)

I listened to the interview. I hope Burke is trying his best and trying to get the best offer not just the one that comes first.
