Kevin Weekes on Hockey this morning

For those of you interested, Kevin Weekes was on HTM on xm 204 this morning. The encore is playing right now, and he was on a half hour before it ended. So he should be on at 10:30am ET 9:30CT.

Guy is a great teamate. He is in a tough spot of course, but talkes it as it is....He said they did talk about him playing more after the playoffs. He stated that it was the reason for him being in NJ to rest Marty, but said that Marty doesn't want to rest. Then followed with he shouldnt want to....He's Marty Brodeur!!!! he can do what he wants, he's earned it. Paraphrasing of course.

The more I hear this guy speak the more I like him. He is a great locker room guy, and it seems that he has brought the presence into the room that left with Gomer. He is also a great ambassador for the sport. He also spoke a bout equipment and some other things.
I would reccommend checking it out if you have a chance..

Weekes is such an awesome guy, he's one of my favorite players. I really hope he gets to play more this season.

Weekes is definitely a good teammate and even greater to take his dismal role in stride, but I do feel bad because he could have a bigger role somewhere else.

I know I'd hate to be in his position. It's too bad he probably has a 1-way deal because it'd be nice to at least get him some reps in Lowell while he's sitting idle for like 20 games at a time.

as a rangers fan has was a brutal teammate, rumors of rapping in the locker room, giving gang signs to teammates, and wearing baggy clothes.

I'm not sure any of that translates to being a good or bad teammate. Am I alone on that? Or were there other things??

So you can't rap, sarcastically give gang signs to teammates and wearing baggy clothes means you're a brutal teammate??

How dare he! :shakehead

Weekes has the best job in hockey right now, hands down.

He knows exactly how much he'll play...about 10 games. He knows he has a decent chance of winning a Cup every year, and he makes a ton of money to sit in the best seat in the house every night.

I was living in Vancouver while he was playing with the nucks----it was well documented in the media some of the troubles he had on and off the ice and of atleast one altercation with a team mate in a bar.

It drove his teammates nuts in Vancouver when he was late for practice or when he needed to leave early for personal reasons.

If a rumor had facts it wouldn't be a rumor so I don't think we're getting any evidence.

Sure that wasnt bertuzzi or Ray Emery?

Anyway, the Devils Locker room is prettyy diverse group, so i guess it doesn't make a big deal. And if he was a problem, Lou would have him swimmin with the fishes in either the Hudson, or in the Swamplands pretty damn quickly!!!
