well, he was making 9 mil with the rangers, now he's making 2.5. I would say aprox 3.6 times less the player he was.

Anytime after this season would be fine by me - especially if he signs elsewhere. I can also see a Tommy Albelin scenario with sarge unfolding again if he doesn't sign elsewhere. Coming back in a pinch if we find an injury bug occurring.

How about when Lou is absolutely sure that he isn't going to sign Brylin again. I have a feeling that Brylin will pull a Tommy Albelin and stick around practicing with the team until he is needed. If Brylin signs with another team / goes back to Russia, then yes, by all means, give the number away. Until then, I think Lou will hold off.

Sawchuk, Plante, Hall, Roy, Hasek, Dryden, and many others all had to / will have to wait three years to get into the HHoF. Brodeur has not and will not set the bar significantly higher than any of them that he should be any different.

Disappointing more than painful... Sarge isn't really walking out so much as we pushed him out... I just really hope he gets a deal - he deserves it.

I don't think youth is coming anywhere near this team (on offence) this year unless Gionta gets traded. Bergfors and maybe Vrana will be in the minors.

A combination of Parise, Elias, Rolston, Zubrus, Zajac, Gionta, Madden, Pandolfo, Langenbrunner, Rupp, Holik and Clarkson will play up front. The reserves, I'm guessing would be Tallackson (for size) and Pelley (or Vrana).

The team (on offence) is being built for the playoffs and there's no room for the likes of Bergfors. The only way I can see him making the team is if (and it's very possible) Lou trades Gionta for a sure-fire, puck moving defenceman.

Brylin very well may not ever play for the Devils again. There is just a feeling that he's going to hang around with a *nudge, nudge, wink, wink* deal with Lou that when a player eventually goes down with a long-term type injury, that he'll be plugged in and play for him.

It was about a month and a half ago that I bought 2 Arnott pictures on ebay. The one where he is actually putting the puck in the net, and one with him holding the cup. He will always truly be 25 to me as well.

no, i said in a previous post that he worked hard every game but at the end of the day, he didnt put the puck in the net as much as he needed to. we can have the hardest working group of players but if they dont score, we dont win. he was relied on to score more then he did. now that some of that pressure is relieved alittle with the rolston holik signings maybe he gets more points

i totally agree. but he NEEDS to have some better numbers. if he could play the way he did in the playoffs AND get 20-25 goals(which he could do) that would be fantastic for the team. hes got all the tools and i think hes gonna have a much better year this season. atleast i hope so, i really do like his game.

But Zubrus put the puck in plenty for him. He had 38 points last season, the most he's ever done when he hasn't had Ovechkin on his line is 42.

He'll be fine. Second year, less offensive pressure.
