They actually signed him yesterday, this deal is pretty minor. None of the websites have this up, but I do know Chad through a friend and he has a deal worth around 600,000 or 700,000 for 2 years I believe..

Is he related to Dennis Wideman of the Bruins?

Looks like an offensive powerhouse. He averaged a point per game in the 2006 NHL season.

I changed the thread title to include rumor until we get some sort of link.

I've met him on a number of occasions and my buddy just told me about it.. It probably wont be up for a couple weeks as it is pretty minor. This guy has never really had a shot though 2 points in 9 games played is decent...

This guy played for the Rangers if I'm not mistaken. Lowell or Trenton signing.

Wiseman played for the powerhouse Wolfsburg Grizzly Adams of the DEL last year...lol...

honestly thats gotta be one of the more hilarious team names i've ever heard...

I can just see opposing team defences shaking in their boots over this and the Fedorov signing....ahh well....at least Lowell can't be the worst team in the AHL..or can they??

If we HAD to sign a winger from the DEL, why couldn't it have been Ahren Nittel?

I wonder if you guys were saying the same thing in 1998 when Lou signed unknowns such as Madden and Rafalski.

Chill the **** out.

Since I go to an equal amount of Hartford and Springfield games I have seen Wiseman many times.

He's a good 1st or 2nd line AHL player. Good skater, has a good shot but plays on the perimeter and doesn't pay the price in his own end.

Lowell just got better with the addition of Jay Leach and Chad Wiseman. I would guess he got NHL minimum of around 500 and around 75-100 at the AHL level on a 2 way contract. Unless NJ has a lot of injuries I doubt he gets many or any games at the NHL level.

Just pointing out that the average player in the AHL makes between 50-100k. So if he signed for 600k chances are he's trying out for the big club.

If he was signed to a 2-way contract, like Mike Mottau 2 years ago, then he will be earning 70k in Lowell.

Its an AHL signing.

I think Chad can play at the NHL level. I liked him a lot as a 4th liner for the Rangers when he was in our organization. You guys might be pleasantly surprised to see him make the team. I think he'd quickly become a favorite because the dude does leave it all out there each and every shift.

I think you're way off here, he's played a whopping 9 NHL games since 01-02. If he's in Newark at any point we're in big trouble.

See I reported it first, ;)....I dont get why all of you are upset by this signing, Chad is a good leader and plays a good game.. He has never really had a shot at the NHL playing on 9gp and averaging 2 points. Give him a chance he could be a steal potientally

Congrats, guys! :handclap: Not only did you guys get Chad, but Jon DiSalvatore, as well. I was lucky to see both Chad and Jon play in Cleveland from 2001-2004. They're both gritty, physical, power-forwards. You won't be dissappointed with either one! :hockey:

They're AHL signings and good ones for that purpose.
