I expect his point totals to go up this year though.. Carolina plays a much more offensive game and he'll get some good powerplay chances on the Canes. I don't think he's the kind of guy who can turn the team's fortunes around though.

Never heard about the attitude problems, but it wouldn't surprise me considering how much he's moving around now after his stellar rookie year.

My best guess is it had to do with the Green contract being so high. I think Cristobal may have demanded around the same and when you look at Ovie + Green + Him that's a lot of bank.

I still think Theodore is a horrid move but I guess there isn't much else out there. But we'll have to wait to see the terms of the agreement to see if my aforementioned assumption is correct.

Well, there's Redden, Campbell, Hoassa and Rolston. If Lou doesn't oick uo two of these guys, we basically have the same team with a spot for Bergfors or Vrana with Sarge on the outs.

Just one of those guys would be a huge improvement from last year. Two of them would be amazing.

I've gotta imagine Chicago is going to trade Khabi or move towards a buy out or something. Crawford wasn't half bad when he came up and you just can't wrap up like 12 million or whatever in 2 goalies.

To me it seems like they're turning a new leaf and doing what it takes to get back into contention and on TV for that matter. So hopefully this will be a good sign of things to come for the franchise, I'm really pulling for them.

Huet's Agent asked for 3 years, 5m per. Caps said ok. Huet's agent said "Wait, we want to test the market." Caps sit there, having already agreed to the $15m deal, and Chicago comes in, gives an extra year and .6 per more, and the Caps don't take the bait.

Add Del Zotto to that list.

Definitely a weird signing by them...I'm not complaining though, they're overpaying once again. :)
