"Meanwhile, a league source indicated there is mutual interest in ex-Devil Brian Rolston returning to New Jersey. Tampa Bay has dibs on Rolston, 35, until noon today after acquiring his negotiating rights from Minnesota on Sunday night for a conditional draft pick. The source said the Lightning and the Devils are high on Rolston's wish list."

Rolston and Redden would be nearly as good as Hossa.

I would rather have Campbell more than either of them.

Campbell and Redden? Theres more chance that I get a camp invite from Lou.

Martin - Redden would be a fine 1-2 punch of puck movers. Oduya has good secondary abilities too.

Rolston is not too old either, a consistant 30 goal scorer since the lockout (playing for NJ West) is always welcome.

That would be awesome if we sign Rolston...he was my favorite player when he left the Devils. Still has plenty of gas in the tank for a 3 or 4 year deal.

I'd take him in a minute. 35 years old notwithstanding.

He does something most of our forwards forgot how to do last year...score.

I agree, no reason to think differently. Hmm, I'd say, sign him to a 3 year deal and go hard after Redden or Campbell.

anyone quoting age and rolston in the same sentence obviously haven't watched him play the last few years.

why do you think tampa is pursuing him so hard?

these are the same people that judge a draft pick by his height.

Rolston's a "young" 35 and is in great shape.

Look how Marty played last year at 35 years old. Brian has a at least 3 more very good seasons left in him.

Rolston is way better then Pandolfo, he's a 30 goals scorer since the lockout and he has a mother ****ing rocket of a shot. By playing in Minnesota, he knows our "system" and HE HAS A &UCKING ROCKET FROM THE POINT ON THE PP !!!

Jay Pandolfo has... :help:

A 35 year old coming off back-to-back-to-back seasons with the Minnesota Wild?

2-3 year contract is fine by me.

Great leader, has won the Cup with us. Defesnively responsible, still has some speed and the guy can shoot the puck.

He's 35 and he's missed a total of 7 games in the past 3 seasons. I'm not too worried about his age.

Gimme Rolston and Redden and Lou get's a  from me. It would look a little something like this IMO...

Parise - Elias - Gionta
Rolston - Zajac - Bergfors
Pandolfo - Madden - Langenbruner
Rupp - Zubrus - Clarkson

Redden - White
Martin - Oduya
Corrente - Salvador
Greene

1) We let Brylin walk so we can call up Bergfors
2) We trade Vishnevski to anyone for anything

Now that's a lineup I'd love to see come october.

Have you seen that reported or is that just your gut? I don't think he'll get more than $4.25-$4.5 M/ year on a 2-3 year deal, less than $4 on a 4 year deal.
