I'm a little surprised with the flags getting tossed to the ice so much....I thought they weren't supposed to purposly touch the ground. I know there used to be very stringent rules governing "desecration" of
American flags.

So thats where I left my change....

They need to use this as firepower for 2010, this Canuck team was very young and they will get their chance again, if I was on this team I would respect Ovechkin but I would also punish him out on the ice

The fact that Canadian still try that crap makes me embarassed to be a Canadian.

The fact that Ovechkin had the forsight, audacity, and sense of humour to take that loonie from the ice makes him possibly my favorite player.

He didn't get it out though, it was buried like 5 cm under the ice. An hour or two after the finals a TV crew with a big ice pick managed to get it out.
