At 1:15 in, you can see Fedorov laugh. Priceless moment.

Another priceless moment : Ovechkin dancing like he's high or something.

The Russian background music, Ovechkin acting like a little kid and the pure happiness, all great to see! Thanks for that!

I hope this is a beginning of a new era for the Russian national team.

This team was together, and liked each other. Played like a team that wanted to win, not like a team of super-talented individuals. They played exactly the antithesis of how anti-Russian biases assume they will play. I can't praise them enough; coming back from two goals down at the start of the 3rd to defeat Canada IN CANADA to win the gold cannot possibly be overstated.

Russia BELONGS right in the hunt for the gold at any time, and if they can combine their insane player talent with togetherness, team effort, and solid fundamentals, they are going to be a FORCE for years to come.

I hope we start seeing the old Russia again...the team that struck fear into opponents. Canada's still the greatest hockey nation, but if the Russians can keep this type of team play up, they are going to make Hockey Canada absolutely work their ass off to remain on top. And when you consider how much higher percentage of Canadian kids play hockey than Russian ones (and more total players overall I believe, despite a much smaller population), it says a lot. They really can play the game out there, they really can.

Well said. Hopefully this puts an end to the "heartless Russian" myth thats used around here. That team was there to win and the look on Ilya Kovalchuks face when he scored the GWG was priceless.

What I saw in that video was a team that felt a lot of pride, liked each other, and was absolutely thrilled to win. And some of those key guys have many, many years left as dominant players.

As an international hockey fan, I'm hoping that they can keep that going.

I'm glad the Canadians lost. It was humbling to them, and now that there is a new Russian force rising up, maybe those players who were too selfish to play for Canada will realize what they gave up. It makes me more upset at those who didn't want to go. I hope they get passed on in 2012 for that.

Nice to see the video with Kovy's mom. I think a lot of Russian posters probably see a glimps of their own mom there. Best quote of the video though was from Bykov.

The opposing team is very strong. The champion, Well FORMER.

Then a bit weirdness for me when they said, "Team Russia was congratulated after the match by president MEDVEDEV"

So weird not to hear President Putin.
