As for Running with the Devil... Bleh.. It's alright between play but doesn't have much of a goal song hype to it

I wish we still had Rock and Roll part two, nothing can ever take the place of that song. I know why the Devils changed it but it doesn't make much sense to me. Other NHL teams like the Pittsburgh Penguins still use it and don't seem to have a problem with it. Remember we were one of the first teams to use that song. I was so upset when they changed it. Just thinking back to all the times I heard it at the Meadowlands after a big goal. Much like the banners that hang up high at The Rock that song is a big part of Devils tradition. Maybe management can throw us a bone and give us our true goal song back.

Some of the music at The Rock is pretty bad. Although corny, I always thought they should play songs that have to do with the devil and hell.

"Hells Bells" (already played), "Highway to Hell", "Hell", "Devil's Got A New Disguise", "Sympathy for the Devil", "Running With the Devil", "Devil Went Down to Georgia", etc...

One of my friends brought this up when we were discussing music at the Rock, the fact is that licensing for music is very tricky and for some reason some of the same songs cannot be played at Prudential because the NJSEA deal is still in place. Probably the reason we have yet to hear "Standing in Motion" and one of my personal favorite warmup themes from the 06-07 season "Waiting" by Trapt.
The music selection was piss poor this season, yes "Hell" by FF is good, but not after the 40th time in a row. Mix up the warmup music please, how about "Becoming the Bull" by Atreyu or some AC/DC?

I am in love with their goal horn. A few months back, I couldn't remember whose horn it was, so I literally went on you tube and kept typing in different teams to find it. I love this high pitch. Whenever any team scores a goal and I am watching, I mimick the sound. Its great!

Been there, done that, bought the t-shirt (Literally)!!

We tried to get R&R2 back, but they won't have it. We wrote emails and letters and gave them the whole scoop on Gary Glitter. The dude sold his rights to the song years ago so he isn't collecting any royalties from it anymore.

Yes! I like having the goal horn play during the song too! I think fans respond way more to the horn then they do to the song. The horn is twice as important as the song, and a lame goal horn will make for lame reactions. I love that old CAA horn.

Just like I said in another thread, it should be our goal song. Our organization (with the Kansas City Scouts) was the first franchise to EVER play that song at a sporting event.

The real issue is licensing, actually, and as much as I like Maiden, Dickinson is a total ass. But it's sooooo worth a shot IMO. It has the sing-a-long part like many teams have, it fits our club, and it's completely original from everyone else.

If we're not bringing back R&R pt2, I can't even imagine a better song at this point....also the extra horn blasts, it's perfect.

hahah yeah. if you need a good, free program for tracking try Audacity. for cutting up the files (tracks) I always use Nero Wave Editor...it's great. That's how I make all of my own ring-tones and whatnot. Nero also comes with a tracking program, but I know not everyone has or uses that so it's just a suggestion.

last time I saw them (at the old POS CAA) people were begging for an encore, especially since they didn't play Number of the Beast or Run To The Hills and he came back out like "that is all for tonight, have a safe drive home, good night."

I used Garageband on my mac. Ugh. (My pc burned out a while ago, so lost all my proper programs!!!)

That sucks about the Maiden, excellent band, but typical Rockstars.

another idea...lets all make a bunch, post them in a thread, vote, and then we'll forward maybe the top 3 on to the team for review.

i'm solid at writing so I'd be willing to do that part, and I can edit audio as well if anyone has an idea they maybe won't pull off.

I mean for us, Maiden is ideal, but people have their preferences and objections so maybe it's better to make it more open, especially with a poll.

Yeah, I didnt realise how good it fits until I put it with some game highlights from this year.

I've always like a song I heard in Spain years ago. They sampled the Clash's "Rock the Casbah" and it would work as a goal song. I think it's by some bad Ibiza act from Wales.

The hook makes for a good goal scoring song. It's a good marriage of Punk/Rock with the Clash and that bad dance music that permiates the air in Belmar/Pt. Pleasant during the Summer.

Acapella R&R Pt. 2 subsituting Sieve! for Hey! is amazing. I love the college hockey atmosphere. I go to close to 30 NCAA games a year. The sieve chanting never gets old!

What teams you normally following. It is crazy at Wisconsin. there is like 15,000 people doing the same chant.....Went to a few games and the Midwest regionals this year. too bad there absoloutley no college hockey near Chicago. It's a shame to have to drive 2-3 hours to catch games....

I am an RIT fan and Alum though, Madison is just way closer plus probably one of the best collegiate sports towns.

I live in Boston for college, and go to Northeastern. Been trying to get to all of the Hockey East arenas, and after that hopefully more out west. I think I'll be going to the Frozen Four next year in DC too.
