I can't believe they left out Luongo and Lundqvist, now they might have to start wearing chest protectors again since their leg pads won't do the job anymore.

but i think it should be noted that, with the inevitable conflict the two of them will have...nothing will get accomplished once again because that will serve as a distraction. So instead of taking sides the league will likely do little-to-nothing about anything.

And next season Luongo and Giguere's pads will be sponsored by Goodyear and Michelin respectfully.

True story: I was hanging out with Marty once at that motorcycle bar we like to go to...anyways, he told me that he was going to start using bigger pads. But one night, he and Melanie started "wrestling" and he realized that it's much easier to move when you don't have all that large sweaty equipment weighing you down. Long story short, he stuck with the small pads, dumped Melanie, and never looked back. God bless him.

It's not just the pads though. It's also the giant chest protectors, the bedsheet sized jersey cuts, and the ridiculously large catching "basket" (and the cheater too).

Frankly, it's pretty much everything. But I do agree with you about the 5-hole though. Goalies like Lundqvist and Luongo just drop to the ice and "voila", there is no such thing as a 5-hole and the entire bottom of the net is covered.
