Martin Brodeur, take a bow. No player won more categories or earned more kudos from both players and media members who voted as part of the 2004 Toronto Sun poll.
His peers selected him as the top goaltender in the game.
The press picked him as the league's most valuable player, top Canadian, top goalie, and the one player you would build a franchise around.
When informed of his overwhelming showing in the final balloting, the New Jersey Devils star credited his gold-medal performance at the 2002 Olympics for much of this new-found notoriety.
"I think it's definitely nice," Brodeur said of the survey results.
