Has poitras signed ?

McGill University goaltender Mathieu Poitras of Gatineau, Que., has been invited for a try-out with the Stanley Cup champion Anaheim Ducks of the National Hockey League.

Anaheim has indicated to Poitras that they plan to use him as their third-string goalie until their farm team is done with playoffs. The Ducks dispatched reserve netminder Jean-Sebastien Aubin to the Portland Pirates, their American Hockey League affiliate in Maine, on March 30


ok this was April 2nd, but is he with the Ducks now ?

There was a mention of this on the ducks blog by Adam Brady on the offical website. I think it was on the 3rd of April.

They have brought him in because they want 3 goalies for practice and don't want to burn a recall from portland while the pirates are in the playoffs.

They did a similar thing last year with Sebastien Caron.
