It takes a little longer but they both work. BenedictGomez 04-07-2008, 01:39 PM Assuming you're already at NY Penn Station you should take NJTRANSIT without question. The PATH is like $4 roundtrip and NJTRANSIT is $7 so the price difference is minimal. NJTRANSIT trip is 16-17 minutes whereas the PATH is about a good 30 minutes. Also, as a minor anal point, the PATH is not available from NY Penn Station, it's located down the street at Herald Square. :teach2: Finally, if you do PATH it from midtown you have to switch trains at Journal Square, whereas NJTRANSIT takes you directly to Newark Penn Station and the home of the team that has won 3 Stanley Cup Championships in the last 13 years. DevsOwnYou 04-07-2008, 02:31 PM www.njtransit.com has good maps and schedules. tailgunner 04-08-2008, 03:05 PM thanks for all the info, yes I'm a rangers fan but let's all be civilized and have a good time:yo: pattyelias 04-08-2008, 03:31 PM which is the better choice the PATH train or NJ TRANSIT train from nyc penn station? and what stop do you get off at? newark penn station or newark broad street? any help would be appreciated:shakehead Take New Jersey Transit from Penn Station New York to Little Egg Harbor then wander around aimlessly for approximately 7-10 hours. You should be at the Rock in no time. MacBeatsPang 04-08-2008, 05:09 PM Assuming you're already at NY Penn Station you should take NJTRANSIT without question. NJT is unquestionably faster and easier. But one note for the ride home: PATH may run a bit more frequently after 9:30 or so. You should check the njtransit.com site for schedule information. Marv4Life 04-08-2008, 05:18 PM True about NJT. PATH is cheaper but it takes too long to get from 33rd Street so NJT is the best bet. Just DON'T take a Morris/Essex or Montclair-bound train. | ||
