Two questions I need an answer to. Thanks!

1. Tyler Burton is playing for Lowell. What do you know about him? Does he have NHL potential? Is he at Lowell on a tryout basis or was he signed to a "real" contract? If he can't make the NHL, can he at least make Lowell better?

2. Did anyone hear Chico say on the telecast today that "players hit to injure at this point in the season?" I know he is right, but could he be fined or fired for telling the truth? I was taken a little aback when he said it. Did anyone else feel the same way as me?

Tyler Burton played for Colgate for four seasons and was pretty good:

He's a small kid, but who knows. Seems like he's playing well in Lowell in the two games he's seen.

I felt the same way when Chico said that. I'm sure he's right, but I was also a little taken aback.

I hope Chico does not get into any trouble. I wish Doc was there to clarify what he was saying, or at least make it a little more palatable.

Sure there are guys who hit to hurt in the playoffs. Scotty Stevens wanted to hurt and/or intimidate the other team. I know he felt badly when he knocked out Lindros in Game 7. He got a little emotional after the game when he talked about the hit.

If Stevens did not intend to hurt, he did intend to intimidate.

Ulf Samuelsson hit to hurt. I hated him. A real $%@mbag!!!!

Anyone old enough to remember Paul Baxter? Now there was a piece of work! I remember Barry Beck wanted to kill him. He was not alone. LOL

Chico is a color commentator giving his opinion on the game. Why would he get in trouble?

Burton looked very good in the 2 home games this weekend. His line (Khomutov-Bergfors) was buzzing both nights. He had a pretty goal in the Friday night game and added an assist. The problem is that both teams were going after him hard and trying to rough him up.
It's not unusual for guys to come up on ATOs at the end of the year and play well. They are playing for a job while the rest of the team is just playing out the string to an extent. For example, Stephen Gionta had 4 goals in his Albany debut a couple of years back.
I would prefer more size but Burton looks like he plays with an edge and I wouldn't be disappointed if he was in Lowell next season.
