Very important message for those attending today's game, Sunday against the Rags

We want to show the Devils that they NEED the home ice advantage.

I cannot go, so I would like those who will attend to try some of these suggestions:

1. Every time Marty touches the puck or makes a save, please chant "MVP" and "Martys Better!!!"

2. If we have a two-goal lead going into the third, a chant of "We want the Cup!" and "Rangers suck!!!" might be nice.

3. Boo Scott Gomez every time he touches the puck and chant "Traitor!" too!

4. Brent Sutter's nickname is "Pup." Duane Sutter was known as "Dog" and when Brent joined the Islanders, they started calling him "Pup." "Win one/this for Pup" would make a nice chant!!!!!

5. Above all, make a lot of noise and shout down the Rangers fans. We need "The Rock" to be feared by opposing teams. Just be as loud as you can for 60 or more minutes of play. Do NOT boo the Devils or any of their players!

6. Lastly, any Lou chant would be nice. "Thank you Lou" might be good. Can do the same for the players. "Thank you Whitey" et. al. would make nice chants. "Thank you Patty...Jamie...Brian...Pando...Mad Dog...Chico...Doc Mike...Mr. Vanderbeek...Dano...et.al. are all good chants. Just be loud and positive!!!

I hope we can get a crowd thats riled up and everything. We better. I really like the idea of the MVP chants for Marty. I wanna see a lot more Lets Go Devils chants coming from the whole arena though. Yelling traitor for Gomez would definitely be AWESOME. how bout "YOUR A TRAITOR" to the tune of lets go devils. That would be amazing.

What we need at "The Rock" is a proactive crowd, not a reactive crowd! That is what I am talking about.

I remember going to a game at the CAA and yelling at Scott Niedermayer to rush the puck. The crowd was completely silent and I was screaming at the top of my lungs. Nieder had the whole ice surface in front of him. I could see it from the stands that no one was pressuring him and he could skate end-to-end.

Well, he took the puck end-to-end and almost scored. Maybe he heard me and maybe he just saw the opening. Who knows?

I do remember screaming at Nieder to shoot the freakin' puck and he did and he scored. A laser from the right point off the crossbar and in. It must have been the hardest shot he ever took. Nieder ain't exactly Al MacInnis or Al Iafrate.

So start your screaming and yelling before the Devils do something on Wednesday and they just might do it. No reason to wait.

BTW, the way our PP is going, yelling "Shoot" or "Shoot the puck!" would not be a bad idea. Put Mike Rupp in front with Brian Gionta and shoot the damn puck. Crash the net and shoot. It is that simple. Just keep feeding Jamie Langenbrunner AT THE POINT!!! until he is arm weary.

Good game, guys!!! Finally, we beat those gosh darn Rangers. Sweet!!!! :D

If anyone ever chanted 'We Want the Cup" at any time before 5 minutes to go in the Cup Clinching Game I would punch them in the face. that is the ultimate jinx.

I am right there with you though when it comes to the rest of the chants although I do not think anyone will need to be told to boo when Gomez has the puck. that is a given.

Our crowd was very good today, much louder than the Rags fans who showed up.

Now that I think about it, you are right about chanting "We Want the Cup" prematurely.

However, I know the crowd will boo Gomez, but yelling "Traitor" or "Benedict Gomez" at him would be a nice touch. ;) It is one thing to screw Lou, but he screwed the fans big time. Bobby Holik did the exact same thing. Holik thought about getting back at Lou, but never thought of how he was hurting his fans. I have no use for either of them and I really hope that Lou does not try to bring back Holik in the off-season.

yelling "shoot" during the pp is pointless imo. often they dont shoot cause the shot is blocked.
