Hey guys,

just a heads up. If you've got time today or tomorrow ou might want to head out to the Ice House in Hackensack and check this out. I went yesterday and it was one of the best days of hockey I have ever witnessed. Add in Mario Lemieux and it's even better!

Highlights:
Pee-Wee
LA Selects - 6
Westchester Express - 1
LA is stacked. Two or three kids that could go very very far including Brian Williams and Kyle Mitsunaga. Williams has incredible wheels and hands, Mitsunaga is a pee-wee version of Chris Pronger. LA stomped on Westchester 10-1 with three strong lines. Westchester had about two players who could skate, but little support for them. LA's goalie Eric Comrie looks promising. Note: Mike Comrie was there as he is the step-brother of goalie Eric Comrie. Nobody seemed to notice as all that could be heard was, "Hillary Duff is here!!" I guess once Mario Lemieux is in the building any hockey player aside from Gretzky, Crosby, or Ovechkin matters at this point.

Detroit Honeybaked - 10
Alaska All-Stars - 1
Watch out for Taylor Fernandez. While he has not put up the points that his teammate Tyler Gernhofer has at Nationals, he put on an incredible show. A few end to end rushes filled with nifty stickwork and eye-in-the-back-of-his-head passing made the game very entertaining. His line with John Hayden and Leo Lumm gave Alaska fits from start to finish. Gernhofer displays a strong instinct, booming shot, and is strong on the puck.

Pittsburgh Penguins - 8
North Jersey Avalanche - 1
Pittsburgh handled the Avalanche in a convincing 8-1 win with the help of Nathan Miller, a pee-wee goalie that has already broken the 6-foot barrier. Pittsburgh got out to an early 2-0 league helped by some questionable calls and never looked back.

I'm calling for a Honeybaked-LA Selects final.

Bantam
Little Caesars 7
Shattuck St Mary's 0
Only was able to see the first 2 periods because of time constraints so I missed Caesar's 4 goal fourth period. Shattuck was unable to match Caesar's speed and size. Caesar's came out hitting and never let up. Caesar's work in front of the net, screened SSM goalie Anthony Terenzio consistently, resulting in at least two floaters hitting the back of the net. Caesar players who stood out: #88 Vince Trocheck, #10 Kacpar Guzik, #5 Ken Miloser, #4 Jim McDowell
SSM - #10 Brian Elser, #18 Anthony Greco, #5 Cody Bastian
