your "perfect ending" to the season

what would be a perfect (but realistic) way for the regular season to end. Heres what i got, but i wont hold my breath:

-Marty shuts out the rangers to get his confidence/numbers up and the offense scores at least 3 goals. a third line of Zubrus-Zajac-Asham is formed and carries strong play into the playoffs.

-Boston beat Buffalo so the Rangers get booted to 6th and we play Boston. Id feel "safer" going into a series vs. Boston

-Florida beats Washington in regulation so the Caps miss the playoffs. Brodeur is awarded the Hart, and Ovechkin goes home crying:D

anyone else down for that? at the very least we need home ice. it would be nice to play boston, but if we beat the rangers sunday we might be able to take them. and even if washington misses, brodeur probably wont get the hart but it would be nice huh.

How can you want the Hurridives to make the playoffs over the Caps? I personally would love a 4-0 win by the Caps tomorrow then the Canes can cry all summer about how Florida tried against them and not against the Caps.

Both the Bruins Rangers have 1 game left with the Bruins two points back. If they end up tied with points they will be tied in wins also because the only way Boston can catch them is to win their only game left. Boston won the regular season series 7 points to 4 so they have the tiebreaker of the Rangers.

I think even if the game would have been meaningless Marty would have started after he was shaky the first couple of games against the Lightning after a long layoff.

Note: This has NOTHING to do with fearing the Ragers/thinking Boston is an easier team, it has everything to do with me dreading the amount of moderating work a Devils-Rangers series would cause.
