Hey fellow Devil brethren, I'm making a plea to the folks who have aspirations of starting our GDT against the New York Rangers on Sunday, It would be nice if it was worded nice and simple, something like New York Rangers @ New Jersey Devils GDT April 6 2008.

We have had previous GDTs for important games titled "Montreal beatdown" and "hurt" the Flyers, both times the games have ended up with us being blown out and shutout.

Keep it simple, please.

I know Weeonta has had something cooked up for this game specifically - and knowing him it's nothing that is gonna claim a 'beatdown' or 'whoopin' etc...

Humor for sure.

Just for the record, I never predict victory or pwnage in any of my GDT's - only the importance of the game itself. ;) Keep it positive, but not cocky...

I will however be planning an epic GDT for the 1st playoff game - the likes of which have not been seen from me before.

I know you don't sir, and I really admire you computer ability, Sunday's game should be fun, home ice is the only thing at stake, it would do the Devils players the power of good to finally put one over their neighbors across the Hudson.

I just want the team to at least get one win against these guys. I don't care if the goals are sloppy or softies.

Me too buddy, and for God's sakes nobody mention that French Canadian guy who plays net for the Devils, I think he wears #30 and the "S" word, that word is verboten.

All I can say is...

PREPARE yourself for the most spectacular GDT Sunday... it will erase any and everything that has come before.

I look forward to it, and I'm sure that you wouldn't mind your GDT being paled in comparison by the performance by the Devils in the following game :thumbu:

Do you think we can just have Paul Martin stand behind the crease with the puck for 60 minutes?

maybe but another thing we can use will just get Rupp to skate full speed then slide in the net with the puck under him,
and also we can let Brodeur and white lay in the net, so when the puck goes in the war room wont see it in the net so its no goal,
are D's wont play with sticks in are zone so they cant score on us,
then Clarkson is going to challenge Avery, but hes going to run, so hollweg is going 2 get mad hit Vish from behind, Asham is going to go ape **** on his ass knock him out while Weekes is jumping around very happy

and will win 1-0 because of Rupp sliding:thumbu:

Or we can just pull the net off the moorings every time the Rangers try to score.

I actually think this is a serious issue the NHL needs to address. According to the rules, apparently if you get pushed, tripped, knocked over, etc... you can just bowling ball the puck into the net and = GOAL!!!!!!!! This seriously needs to be addressed before a mockery of the game ensues.

I'm guaranteeing Brodeur will have a partially breakaway to the red line, where he will rip a slapshot glove side with 3 seconds left.
