OT - Dirty is in the eye of the beholder

Most of you are aware of the hit in the Leafs/Sens game last night.. but since we Devils fans had to hear a lot of crap for the Janssen hit last year I found it interesting how different the Toronto media was when one of their "goons" shouldered a star player in the head:

I was at that Devs game last season, we got in a huge fight with a bunch of Leaf fans and it got pretty bad.

Honestly.. homerism, but not a 180 degree turn from your previous opinion of being mad and demanding suspensions to giddily laughing and calling it a good hockey hit. I can't stand dishonesty to that level.. It really tells me something about the ethics of that person.

I ****ing hate Toronto. I listen to Home Ice on XM because it's the only way to get any hockey coverage in the States. When Janssen hit Kaberle that was ALL they talked about until Kaberle returned. They made it seem like it was on the same level as the McSorely and Bertuzzi incidents. Of course that moron Joe Bowen came in and gave his two cents which made me want to punch my radio. But today they barely talked about Bell's hit. They mentioned Alfredsson being injured but by noon they moved on.

I know.. makes me want to hurt people. I'm still mad about it (not the Janssen hit.. the video from today). There is a small silver lining in that prime time sports on www.fan590.com actually has logical, generally unbiased discussions on these issues. Everything else is maple leaf knob gobbling.
