kducks 04-04-2008, 11:57 AM I know alot of people are going to the game at Stapler tomorrow, but I wanted to start a roll call for the last game of the regular season since the board has been really slow with the week off. Fan appreciation night, who is going? I'll be in 425 for this one. Hoping to win a jersey off their back this time, I never win anything at these games though. :(
190Octane 04-04-2008, 12:09 PM I have my tickets still but I broke my leg Wednesday night in my hockey game so I'm not sure if I'm going yet.

Dude, that sucks! At least it was doing something cool... Get better, man.
Shiba and I will be going to this one.

Will be there; section 420. Never won anything but the person in front of me won Robbie's jersey last year... This year it's my turn, I can feel it :sarcasm:
SonOfBraincramp 04-04-2008, 02:33 PM 443, be there

You deserve the "Trooper Award"! Just make sure you don't fall down and break your other leg when your seat is called for a Jersey :D
P.S. Does anyone else think Omarosa whenever they hear the word "trooper"? Sad, I know...
kducks 04-04-2008, 07:49 PM I will be there hobbling down in 201.
Do you at least get to park up close to the Ponda?

Woot! I'm excited. We're going with a rowdy bunch too. Should be fun!
190Octane 04-04-2008, 10:55 PM Yeah I got a handicapped placard for 6 months. All that for a hair line fracture in the fibula and my ankle ligaments most likely screwed also (the fibula broke when my foot stuck after getting hit and rolling my ankle under me)
Luckily I sit in 201 (right by the handicapped parking) and I'm halfway down the aisle instead of the full distance.

Sorry to hear about your leg! I had ACL reconstruction right a few weeks before the 2003 playoffs. The disabled parking placard was a good thing to have and luckily our seats were in the first row of the lower Terrace so I could prop my leg up. Good luck with your leg; hope it heals quickly!
lwvs84 04-05-2008, 02:41 AM I'll be there! Not sure what section though. Somewhere in the 400's.
Ducksforcup 04-05-2008, 02:42 AM I'll be there in spirit (in front of my TV). :)
Have fun to everyone that is going! Hope ya guys win something (and the Ducks win something too ;))! :yo:
lux_interior 04-05-2008, 02:51 AM I'll be there....Saturday at Staples.
BraveSirRobin 04-05-2008, 09:05 PM I'll be in section 404, highly doubting I'll win anything. Though I got a t-shirt once with the Bazooka Blast. I miss that. :(

Someone got hurt during it, so they aren't going to bring it back. :(

People are weak and expendable. I hate that the world has come down to lawsuits. I might get a ticket all depends on if my neighbors child decides not to go.
190Octane 04-06-2008, 04:04 AM The bazooka blast sucked, the only good thing about it was the hotties in our section (201).
My wife had beer spilled on her once and our aisle was so packed we could never get down it.

Seriously, how many dumb sh!ts got hit in the face by those t-shirts because they couldn't catch them, then would get pissed when one of the Ducks would hit the post.
190Octane 04-06-2008, 08:01 PM I'm staying home for this one.. decided to not fall down the stairs.
cmcdmania 04-06-2008, 08:12 PM I'll be there... in spirit.
I think that we should just make this thread the GDT because the game's started. And for more info, Yahoo!'s playing the game online:

Just ****ing die.
Benny Lava 04-06-2008, 08:14 PM Has Carter always worn 20? I thought he was in the 50-somethings.
cmcdmania 04-06-2008, 08:16 PM Has Carter always worn 20? I thought he was in the 50-somethings.
He used to wear 52.
In the Ducks blog, Adam Brady talks about it.
Carter, by the way, has switched numbers from 52 to 20, consistent with the team's tendency to give more stable players lower numbers. You'll remember that guys like Getzlaf (51 to 15), Perry (61 to 10) and Penner (76 to 17) also switched to lower numbers after their rookie seasons. Although, they made the switch in the offseason.
Buck Naked 04-06-2008, 08:20 PM Is Dead Weight playing or scratched?
cmcdmania 04-06-2008, 08:22 PM From the Live Game Log (http://ducks.nhl.com/team/app/?service=page&page=Recap&seas=20072008>ype=2&gnum=1230)
Starting Goaltenders - ANA Jonas Hiller; PHX Ilya Bryzgalov
Starting Skaters - ANA Sean O'Donnell, Chris Pronger, Samuel Pahlsson, Trasvis Moen, Rob Niedermayer; PHX - Keith Ballard, Martin Hanzal, Shane Doan, Daniel Winnik, Derek Morris
Scratches - ANA Marc-Andre Bergeron, Corey Perry, Todd Marchant, Joe DiPenta, Doug Weight; PHX - Mike York, Peter Vandermeer, Marcel Hossa
Chris Pronger is back in the lineup after an eight-game suspension. Doug Weight is a healthy scratch for the second time in the last three games.
Lyons71 04-07-2008, 01:23 AM Pronger got an extra big cheer from the crowd when announced on the starting d pair. :D
Overall, the game was just like last game with the kings. Just a practice game. Both teams were just interested in finishing the game.

The game was pretty damn boring...
The best part is our buddy almost got in a fight with some ********* Army guy. We don't really understand why, but he was getting pissed off because we weren't making enough noise and cheering for our team. Then, later he bought our friend a drink and calmed down.
Ironic ending to the story: The guy that was so HARDCORE that he was getting mad at us for not cheering for our team left in the middle of the 2nd period, and returns halfway through overtime. W.T.F? Such a feminine hygiene wash nozzle. So, cheers, guy in 417 row Q seat 7, from all the guys that were behind you shouting "Shane Doan sucks!" instead of cheering for their team.
