Who Would You Pick in Round 1 of the Draft?

I don't think we should pass on a good player because he is small. He models himself after another small player from Tampa, hmm wonder who that could be. If he plays like him, he can play for us.

Mike Del Zotto. If we can't get him, a center who can pop in a few goals and still be a playmaker. Whoever it is, they have to be a top-notch skater. Speed, speed, and more speed!!!

I know Nemisz is a center with good skill and size (6'2", 200), and Bailey, if he falls that far, is another center that has great skill and has decent size (6'1", 190).

Good sized, North American offensive center.

I would pick David Toews if he falls enough, not that he will.

Michael Del Zotto if he's available, a good offensive defenseman that has had a great year in the OHL this season.

David Toews. If he's got any kind of skill like his brother we'll be cashing in. But every one of those 1st round picks this year has potential. Just gotta weed out the posers.

Throw out names like Bailey, Colbourne, Jenks, Towes and Dal Zotto if he drops. But the kid I would love to grab with our 2nd and we would have to move up is the goaltender Chet Pickard

Don't get me wrong. I like undersized guys, but I've heard that he is real small... like Nate Gerbe small.

I like him. Good size, soft hands, effective on the face-offs (huge +) & not afraid to play pyhsical. Thanks to a deep draft, he should be around for us.

Stefanovich.... has some size and seems to be a little down right now but seems to have very good upside. If there is any indication Voinov would come over...would be worth an late first early 2nd pick.
