Does anyone agree that our offensive woes began around the time when Gio was put on Madden and Pando's wing?
I think we should put him back on an offensive line. We need all the offense we can get.

Our offensive woes began when our forward group wouldn't allow us to put together a lineup with less than 2 fourth lines.

we do have 2 first liners in elias and parise
2 2nd liners in langs, gionta
several 3rd liners in madden, pando, zubs, zajac, clarkson.

a top 6 foward is a must in the offseason.

Yea a good playmaker for the 2nd line would be great. Guys like Langenbrunner and Gionta can't really be counted on for more than 20ish if they don't have someone who can set them up. Crashing the net hoping for deflections, taking shots from everywhere only works so often. We lack both the talent and the playmaking to be able to have a good offense.

Does it? The line that was scoring before that slump was the Parise-Elias-Langenbrunner line with occasional scoring from Madden and Pandolfo.

This may be a big shocker, but with 2 games left Sutter's not changing the lines. If anything, he's fine tuning them heading into the playoffs. The Elias/Madden lines are likely going to be our two top lines in the playoffs.. might as well get used to it.
