Sarge18 04-03-2008, 12:14 AM Apparently Vanderbeek was interviewed after the game tonight, but I was on my way home and missed it. I was told he said something about improving the upper concourse and lowering ticket prices for next season. Can anyone fill me in on what was said, or even better, youtube it? I'd love to know what he talked about.

The only thing I know he definitely said, and this is because I received a text message from someone..
The Eagles will be at the Rock in May.

He basically thanked the fans and was very happy with the way things turned out this year as we will average around 16K fans. He said groundbreaking on triangle park and 6 or 7 other developments around Newark. Also mentioned that there would be changes in the upper concourse, including the addition of pubs. Also said that his stats show that over 50% of fans take mass transit. Those were the significant comments.

Game Breaker 04-03-2008, 10:08 AM I switched it to watch the yankee game and I missed the beginning about the lowering of ticket prices. Thats a sigh of relief. I bet the mezz will be $75 next season.

Now if they could start serving Guinness again like they did at the Crypt, er CAA, all would be right with the world.
DevFan-RU- 04-03-2008, 12:42 PM What did he say about ticket prices?
dougiebrown 04-03-2008, 12:46 PM anything about fixing the fricking escalators? Better yet, just put a smoking deck upstairs, and I'm happy.

I do not recall hearing anything about ticket prices, but maybe I just missed it.
Sarge18 04-03-2008, 01:56 PM Thanks for the responses. My friend who was watching said he mentioned something about lowering ticket prices for the "upper level" for next season but he has been known to exaggerate or even make up certain things, which is why I asked here about the interview.

guyincognito 04-03-2008, 11:09 PM What's wrong with the escalators?
One of the two by the fire lounge has been out of order for awhile. That's a long hike.
Game Breaker 04-03-2008, 11:38 PM I love when the escalator stops abruptly when we are leaving the game and people nearly fall, it adds to the excitement.
