The CFL has awarded a franchise to Ottawa.

for 2010... and it's conditional. The Ottawa team will need a stadium as FC has been condemed.

Will they shift the Bomber's back west. It's strange that they' re in the East, geographically anyhow...

I think the big element here is that the new owners are apparently competant, and know how to run smaller franchises. If Ottawa works out I am excited for the prospects of a tenth team. I would like to see it go into Quebec City. Football is growing in popularity there.

I'm excited, it will be fun to see what happens, its just too bad we had to lose the team before these guys got together. The defense was really starting to look good. This really is a "dream team" ownership group. The only thing standing in their way is city council who might not want to hand over the property around landsdowne/frank clair.
