Todd Marchant was nominated by the Anaheim chapter of the Professional Hockey Writers Association for the Bill Masterton Trophy, which recognizes sportsmanship, perseverance and dedication to hockey.


Do you feel he deserved it?

On a serious note I think Marchant is still a rather underrated player in the NHL, for all the little things he does and how versatile a player he has become with the Ducks. He can sub on any line and not look out of place, he's got speed, he can penalty-kill, and he steps it up in the Playoffs.

Oh I agree, usually someone who overcomes an injury or personal situation should win this award. I wasn't saying I think Marchant will win, just expressing my opinion I think he's one of the more underrated NHL players.

He is under-rated. If he brought the same game but was paid like less than 1 million, ppl would LOVE him. He is over paid for what he brings, but he's a very versatile role player.

that's the thing role players with like over 1mil salary et underrated and called over payed they obivoulsy did something to earn it but get little to no respect
