Sean Avery would be a perfect fit for this team next season

If we can somehow get rid of Marchant's contract and even possibly Schneider(If Neids returns) Avery would be a perfect fit.
We are already the most hated team in the league why not just take it a step further, we have the right type of players for Avery's game to thrive. He can play with Getz/Perry.

I would love it. Didn't him and hayward fight or something I remember reading it on wikipedia.

We could reunited Pahlsson and Avery.

Avery is a punk and a goon. He is everything that is still bad about hockey. There is a special place in hockey hell for him.

He would actually be a perfect fit with the twins. If we weren't in cap hell next season, that would be an amazing addition. But, it can't happen, as Avery on this team would mean pure madness. The boards would crash.

But, it would be cool to see Hazy present him with his Ducks jersey and then them shake hands or something. So cool.

I would love avery but...

1. he stomps on people
2. he punches people in the back of the head
3. he elbows people in the head
4. his pads are too big
5. he sucker punches people in the playoffs
6. hes mean
7. hes tough as nails

I DONT WANT ANYONE LIKE THAT ON OUR TEAM!!!:sarcasm:

On April 7, 2006 tempers flared as Avery and Anaheim Mighty Ducks broadcaster and former Montreal Canadiens goaltender Brian Hayward had a heated discussion in the Kings dressing room. This was the result of Hayward's commentary on the April 4, 2006 Kings vs Ducks game, where he accused Avery of avoiding a fight with the Ducks' forward (and large enforcer, about 50 pounds heavier than Avery) Todd Fedoruk. Avery began the argument by uttering that Hayward was an "embarrassment", a "(terrible) announcer", and was a "(terrible) player". Hayward responded by saying "How would you know? When I played, you were in your third year of eighth grade." [5]

i have always told me dad we should get avery since he first came up in LA and im sticking by it. I think some people dont realize he could possibly be a 35-40 goal scorer with the talent he has was coupled with other linemates with talent. he would take some of the criticism from the boards off perry too lol.

That'd be the only reason stopping Burke from signing him. Other than that, then he'd be just fine as a Duck.

Lol as soon as someone brought this up, I remembered that Hayward had pulled a hilarious line on Avery. haha I love it

But in all seriousness, I think he would be a perfect addition and I could really see his game rounding out well on a team like Anaheim.

Giguere doesn't seem to like him much either.

That's because Sean's worn a Ducks uniform on the same team as Jiggy in the past - Cincinnati Mighty Ducks back when Detroit & Anaheim shared their AHL team for a few seasons. He knows him far too well.

As an agitator he really has no peers in the NHL, he's the best. Unfortunately he rarely confines his agitation to the opposing team & pulls crap constantly on his teammates as well. Everything is all about him & never for the team. He's a cancer in any dressing room that he is in.

Keep him as far away from Anaheim as possible.

If I remember correctly he instigated the fight, but then wouldn't drop the gloves. Instead he waited for kings teammate Jeff Cowan to fight for him.....in any case I remember it being pretty pathetic....especially for someone with such a big mouth.......yeah I always hated the guy.

I actually think Avery can be a very useful player here as a duck. Sure he does light up the other team when he plays and does dumb penalties, but the player can flat out play chipping up goals and drawing penalties.

And where in the lineup does he fit?

Well, with Avery i think one of his best traits is he can play on any line. He's a versatile player. He is by no means a guy who can carry a scoring line, but he's a useful complimentery player. I liken him to Kunitz. With the way he plays with the Blueshirts this year, he can do the same here. He'll fit right in IMO.
