It probably would have been smart to have a guy like Fedorov out there who's an accomplished two-way forward. But if Washington wants to take that next step to become a contender, they need to develop a serious 3rd line that can matchup against the big lines late in games.

Saturday against the Leafs was the last easy game we're going to have. Not only do we play the Habs next but after that we play the Wild and the Avalanche. That's my only fear when playing Montreal. Their fans intimidate the refs. I dont know if anybody watched the interview with gomez, but when he was talking about the rags play of late and the standings he was saying that they all jumped on board and started listening to the coaches and so on, but then he said something to the extent of, "well thats what you learn on the devils, you dont want to just make the playoffs, you want to win it all" i dont know i thought it was funny bc it seemed so awkward for him to talk about the devs, it seemed like right as he was talkin about the devils, he thought to himself, is sather going to kill me for saying something good about them during a playoff stretch?

funny thing is, it mostly montreal fans that still think NJ is boring, but if there team was in a 0-0 tie it would be good defense, they finally have a good team in a long time and they think they own the world :shakehead

- Second to NJ in GA with 171 (and thats even more scary-- at least for teams who don't have Brodeur-- considering the terrible 6 week stretch or so that Hank started 2008 with)
