cheap def being the key part of a hypothetical deal here. his production has tailed of significantly and he goes into bad slumps right along with the rest of the isles. however, hes still at the age where hes worth a shot. maybe a cheap 2 year incentive laden contract would be a good one. still....theres other(and better) players on my wishlist. maybe if this was 3-4 years ago satan, but it aint.

Satan is not getting any younger here. Every season we go thru the Satan rumors of him coming to the Devils or can we trade for him and he could wear #66. He would help this Devils team but will Lou go for his hefty contract? Nope. Plus the Devils have to give someone up for him and it won't just be Gionta.

I believe his a UFA so his contract is whatever is left this season, and Isles are really looking for prospects and picks and I am not sure if you are willing to give those up
