TG had mentioned a while ago that his something was wrong with his hand and that kept him from fighting too much. If he can't play at 100%, he needs to get it taken care of. He's useless otherwise.

yeah I read that this morning. It would really explain his play lately. I thought there was something wrong with the way he shot at the net, now we know.

If he wants to stay in the lineup, getting that surgery would be a real good idea.

If he's really that hurt then why are they even letting him play? Might as well put him on IR and take Cam off it.

I admit I did fear he left his heart on Long Island but maybe he is just struggling cause of the injury.

Great reply! :yo:

If his boo-boos hurt that much, put him on the IR & get Cam back on the ice.

I miss seeing those big hits & energy!

Maybe thats why he doesn't want to get them done now. So they wouldn't put him on IR.

Asham might be headed to season ending surgery or will wait until the season ends. It could be some of the reasons he has not played all that well since December.

True. So if that's the case, why not get the surgery now instead of playing sub-par hockey?

I'd rather have a guy on the ice playing at 100% & contribute than a guy at 60-70% to to fill in the void.

Totally agree. Asham should get the surgery now and be back for next season or possibly the playoffs.

The real reason why he was benched was this injury adversely affected his ability to high five everyone after the game, so his value to the team was significantly diminished.

hmmm.. Yeah, I was wondering about this the other day. I was thinking when was the last time Asham was actually in a fight. This must explain why. I hope thats what is bugging him, because he was great for the month of October.
