sportmaniac 01-02-2008, 01:05 PM they take this guy from us and now hes gonna prob be there new starter goalie but what i dont get y didnt he play like this 4 us he was never this good where he was able to stop st.louis and brad richards on a penlty shot maybe all he needed was some more playing time
ILikeItVeryMuch 01-02-2008, 01:10 PM :shakehead
Eagle20 01-02-2008, 01:11 PM Toskala is there starter..no if ands or buts about that. He has an opportunity there b/c Raycroft is just brutal.

On the highlights they said it was his 1st start of the year
None Shall Pass 01-02-2008, 01:17 PM If you gave me 100 choices, I would choose Weekes over Clemmenson 102 times.
DevilBesideYou 01-02-2008, 01:17 PM Good for Clemmer. He needed a change of scenery. I never had any major problems with him (other than his "I don't feel like I'm in the NHL" comment), so I hope the Toronto fans are kind to him even when he loses.
However, they can have him. I am more than happy with Weekes.
HBK27 01-02-2008, 01:19 PM they take this guy from us and now hes gonna prob be there new starter goalie but what i dont get y didnt he play like this 4 us he was never this good where he was able to stop st.louis and brad richards on a penlty shot maybe all he needed was some more playing time
1. Who cares, Weekes > Clemmenson
2. Your grammar sucks.

Boys and girls, this is what happens when you do drugs...:sarcasm:
I wish he would get a chance to play more there then he did here, but with the way Toskala has been, doesn't look like it will be happening anytime soon.
Jiri Bicek 01-02-2008, 01:20 PM Ah ****!
Dumbo Lou..
Lets make a deal:
Marty and Parise for Clemmer & Suglobov
Feed Me A Stray Cat 01-02-2008, 01:20 PM Clemmensen had some good games with the Devils. What's your point?
MoonDragn 01-02-2008, 01:23 PM If you gave me 100 choices, I would choose Weekes over Clemmenson 102 times.
I agree with you there, but your math needs work.
However if Weekes don't get more practice in the net he is going to be one rusty goaltender.
TaiMaiShu 01-02-2008, 01:23 PM Good for Clemmer, I hope he does well.
Game Breaker 01-02-2008, 01:28 PM I agree with you there, but your math needs work.
Seriously, its more like 103 times out of 100.
fortheloveof666 01-02-2008, 01:38 PM :shakehead
I had no problems with Clemmer playing, I thought he was a solid goalie for riding the pine pony so much. But lemme think....Marty getting the single-season wins record vs. starting Clemmer more so he can "play better."
Of course I'm gonna go with starting Clemmer, I mean...that's a no-brainer right?
I'm glad he did well in, what I believe, is his FIRST start in Toronto. But just because he played well once doesn't make letting him go any worse of a decision.
Overtime98 01-02-2008, 01:41 PM If you gave me 100 choices, I would choose Weekes over Clemmenson 102 times.
Weekes has more expierence, so yea I agree with you.

Toskala's injured, Raycroft's on a cold streak. Obviously, this means Scott ****ing Clemmenson is going to be the leafs starter....:shakehead
He's the Marlies backup. He got called up instead of Pogge cause Pogge needs to play a bunch of games and many thought Raycroft would be okay for the stretch (he was ok too, but the team has given up on him).
My point is, don't worry about the Marlies backup goalie coming back to haunt you, unless its one game against Lowell.
MakoSlade 01-02-2008, 01:57 PM I hope Clemmer does awesome. No matter how good he does he still had no place here and no trade value. He can turn into Hasek and no one could fault Lou for letting him go!
So lets all wish him well, unless he plays against the Devils...
TZajac19 01-02-2008, 02:04 PM Hey anyone notice Clemmer is wearing #30 On the Maple Leafs? I wonder if that has anything to do with they guy he used to back up.
Systemfel 01-02-2008, 02:13 PM Hey anyone notice Clemmer is wearing #30 On the Maple Leafs? I wonder if that has anything to do with they guy he used to back up.He was supposed to be the Leafs' No. 4 goalie, so he was probably just handed #30.
Devilswede 01-02-2008, 02:15 PM Huh?! What? :shakehead
And the "Most useless post of the year Award" goes to........

so early in the year, too.
Ah ****!
Dumbo Lou..
Lets make a deal:
Marty and Parise for Clemmer & Suglobov
as much as that deal sounds fair, Leafs dont have Sugs anymore(I think :help:, they still might have his rights)
But Clemmer wont be the starter he is currently 3rd string goalie on the leafs and if Toskala's injury is serious then he might be 2nd, unless a trade or a cujo signing. Plus its one game and he wasnt that stellar he made good saves and the richards shootout save went through his pads but redirected wide
whatarush123 01-02-2008, 02:34 PM There is not going to be a Cujo signing until Toronto can move Raycroft or Ottawa can move Emery
Classic Devil 01-02-2008, 04:19 PM If Clemmensen is Toronto's starter, Toronto is in a LOT of trouble.
Das Uber 01-03-2008, 09:37 PM Still miss Clemmer? He just got lit up. 3 goals in like a minute, 5 goals on the game.
fortheloveof666 01-03-2008, 09:51 PM Still miss Clemmer? He just got lit up. 3 goals in like a minute, 5 goals on the game.
3 goals in 48 seconds actually. He's gonna get run out of town for that.
Das Uber 01-03-2008, 10:11 PM 3 goals in 48 seconds actually. He's gonna get run out of town for that.
It's not like he got any help from his D.
None Shall Pass 01-03-2008, 10:17 PM If you gave me 100 choices, I would choose Weekes over Clemmenson 102 times.
And my point stands.
Das Uber 01-03-2008, 10:19 PM I feel bad for Clemmer, the guy just can't catch a break.
MoonDragn 01-04-2008, 10:36 AM 3 goals in 48 seconds actually. He's gonna get run out of town for that.
Dang, now I wished the Rangers had traded Lundqvist and signed him :sarcasm:
