With that logic it should have been Canada 32 - 0 Denmark.;)

Hopefully Canada can finally break out on offense with five or six goals!

The Finnish D has been so lost it wouldn't be surprise me if Canada finally does break out on offense. Although if they can't score more than that against Denmark, it would be almost embarrassing to allow as many or more goals against than that.

I hope Finland at least fights to the end. The US game was pathetic, and last year at this stage they really lacked the heart to win. Or not the heart necessarily, as they did seem to have passion, but it turned to frustration way too easily. I hope it doesn't happen that way this year.

Canada is going to run over us. 9-2 Canada..

Will probably be a good game as the friendly ended in a 4-2 final. Obviously both teams have a lot more at stake this time.

I still predict a Canada win though. I don't have much faith in our defence.

Canada is so overated. I think this will be a close game.

Phenomenon
01-02-2008, 08:37 AM
In order to win Finland must have goaltending close to amazing, superior abusing of scoring chances+PP and mistake-free play from depth defensemen.

If Finland loses every one-on-one battle in the war zone in front their goalie (as they did against USA and Russia), the game will end soon.

Overrated or not, they are on tilt. Even if Canada is overrated, I am not sure about that, I am still not sure if its a upset if they win it all. Thats hint of how high rated they where gooing into the Tournament. They are gooing to play with desperation from now on.

So I still think this is a game Canada wins 19 out of 20 games...

Do any of the Swedes on here know if it will be this match SVT24 are showing today? I presume it is.

Canada´s forwards are not the best, so far. I think it will be 3-2 or 4-2 to Canada.

I haven´t seen anything about that SVT 24 will showing the quarterfinals. So far no other games than Sweden´s has been showing.

now you are underrating canada. they still have the best players, the question is if they have the best team too.

I was just gonna say...good luck to have Swedish refs, at least on paper. As for this game, it'll be close, as our offence hasn't shown any ability to blow anybody out.
I was really really worried about Helenius stealing a game, no matter how bad he's played (US, etc), but I'm still not relaxed, as Sateri is supposedly really good.

Man, I didn't say that Tavares was poor or anything, and Matthias looked good out there so far too. I just think that Pyett has made a couple of good plays in his own end, and had the sequence of 2 consecutive chances. Tavares and Turris have been our best 2 this tourney, but today, neither has been great yet, Turris particularly.

I agree it has been out best period, they actually started hitting people right after that Finnish goal. If they keep the pressure on the goals will come just been a little unlucky so far not to have one of those rebounds end up on their sticks.

Great play by Tavares and what's up with the Giroux hate? He projects to be a playmaker anyways and he's playing with a player who "sucks rocks" and Turris who hasn't been nearly as good as I expected he would be in this tourney especially if you look at how van Riemsdyk has looked for Team USA.

As I type Giroux sets up Turris for a decent chance which Turris can't convert.

Also, do the TSN guys have some kind of contractual obligation to mention Godfrey's shot every time he steps on the ice?
