For some reason I've got a feeling tonight that Riku Helenius is gonna take this one and run with it for the Finns.

I mean I'm assuming he'll get the start again, he's been outstanding in the Tourney and I'm thinking he can lead the Finns to a mini upset of the Americans.

Anyone else got my back on this one?

I don't see it happening but it wouldn't suprise me if it did. It's a pretty bad year for the Finns (especially offensively), but USA is due for a let up coming off of a big win against Russia. Plus, Finlands a team that's always better than the sum of their parts.

Well, it's possible but not likely...

We are definately underdogs.

Finlandīs win would require a perfect+ goaltending and some luck. There is no room for mistakes like those in Russia game. This is, however, sports and everything is possible.

The fact that the US has clinched the 1st seed (correct?) would suggest that a let-up is fairly likely. This definitely increases the chances for the Fins, IMO.

I think that's the only way Finland can beat the U.S........ superior goaltending.

I think it's possible. But I don't buy the USA letting up. These kids have been dreaming of this tourney. They're not sitting there thinking about the medal round already. They want to go out and dominate today. Think about it. Wouldn't you?

That's the only way for a draw. To win Team Finland would need some finishing ability. I doubt Team Finland could win Team USA but seriously hope for it.

Well looks like "fairly likely" didn't happen.

Isn't this right up there with the prediction that John Kerry would be the president of the United States one day...
