Pothier 12-30-2007, 07:47 PM For me it is the disc. For the most part, this has solved the problem for me: 1. Turn the 360 on, open the disc tray 2. Sign out of your Xbox profile, sign back in 2. Insert NHL disc/close tray; let game load TomPlex 12-30-2007, 09:32 PM To be quite honest, I actually think it might be because the disc is scratched... SkipToMyLucic 12-30-2007, 11:17 PM Same problem here.. DrMom9900* 12-30-2007, 11:42 PM my xbox just crapped out on me and started doing the Unplayable Disc ****, it works with all dvds i've tried (about 6) so i just sent a repair request to microsoft and told them i got red ring of death. Hopefully they'll give me a new system. GorgeousFrankenstein 12-31-2007, 11:10 AM same thing happened to me, EA is crap and the 360 seems to just have problem after problem. I now have a $400 dvd player basically. definitely won't be buying any more games for it. lucky #13 12-31-2007, 11:30 AM Sometimes my nhl 08 freezes during gameplay and says it's unreadable, doesn't happen a lot but enough to frustrate me. Joe Canada 12-31-2007, 01:25 PM So far it seems the best way to avoid disc read errors (assuming the disc isn't dirty) is to load the dashboard first (eject the game) and then close the tray. My only freezes have come when I haven't done that, and to date it's not frozen once when I did the open/close tray. Me too! :handclap: Midnight Meat Train 01-01-2008, 04:36 PM Not moping just don't wanna put any more cash into such a shoddy system with such lousy products. yeah one game has problems so the system is all of the sudden shoddy and has lousy products, that is really sound logic, all the other games you have or have played that have had no issues or problems are crap all of the sudden? Smackdown vs Raw Saints Row Gears of War Fifa etc. so one bad apple spoils the bunch? yadadaimhollaing 01-01-2008, 07:39 PM This is a system issue because I get this when I go to play games as well on occasionly but after a few tries it will load the game. I get this when I wanna play nhl 2k7, halo 3, gears of war. Ashe 01-02-2008, 12:35 AM Make sure the disc is 100% clean; If theres tiny scuffs or scratches; take it to a store or buy one of those DVD wizard things. They seem to work really well. If the problem still happens; It could honestly be the game. If nothing else is working; Call microsoft; tell them you got the red rings; 3 weeks later you'll get another *new* system hopefully; They sometimes send out refurbed ones with problems. But if you get one; Just call again and they will send you a brand new one the second time. It's a long process; And i am a little upset over the problems some people have. But I've had mine since launch and have yet to have any problems. I've taken it apart; Broken warranty; Painted it; Dropped it; And it stlil works fine.. john g 01-20-2008, 09:47 PM have any of you tried clearing your system's cache? (360's) worked like a charm for me. i used to not be able to finish a single game. just finished up two tournament games in succession with no issues at all I have a broken 360 that cannot read any 360 games (can dvds and xbox regular games tho). Do you think this cache clearing could work? john g 01-21-2008, 10:16 AM I have a broken 360 that cannot read any 360 games (can dvds and xbox regular games tho). Do you think this cache clearing could work? try it and see http://news.teamxbox.com/xbox/11131/Xbox-360-Cache-Clear-Code-Revealed/ neofury 01-21-2008, 10:23 AM as much as asanine retorts, yes How do I do it? (I have a working 360 also so if I fix this 360 I'm going to sell it to some poor person who got screwed by microsoft on the warranty as I have with this 360. I'm also going to sell it for what I paid for my new one, 220$, that's if I can fix it). Anyone know of a place that replaces 360 dvd-roms in montreal? john g 01-21-2008, 10:48 AM link above ... sorry, i thought you were being a wise ass neofury 01-21-2008, 11:30 AM link above ... sorry, i thought you were being a wise ass OMG thank you so much. I think a software update may have been what originally made my 360 stop playing 360 games. This clears all updates. I may be able to fix it now. john g 01-21-2008, 11:38 AM hope it helps | ||
