Based on what I've seen this week:

Cze: Voracek. Frolik has been the finisher, and Neuvirth looks great, but this is Voracek's team. He's like an assistant coach in practice.

Den: Hardt. Bodker and Eller have great NHL potential, but Hardt is the leader.

Swe: Berglund. A man amongst boys.

Slo: Really tough call. Their keeper Hudacek has kept them in two games.

Canada: I'm sure everyone in Canada has an opinion on this one. I just wish someone would step up and make it as easy a choice as it is for some of the other teams.

What do you mean by Voracek's like an assistant coach in practice? I have to say the kid as wowed me so far in the tournament. So much speed and quickness to go along with puck skills and a long long reach. Seems to be going full motor all the time. I'd pick Voracek before Frolik for the present and the future. Looks like Rick Nash will end up with a pretty decent playmaker in Colombus.

I think Voracek is a great playmaker, but Frolik is a sniper. Voracek looks like Ales Hemsky. He is very quick and smart.

Regarding Voracek. Watching the team practice the power play, it was Voracek who was demanding his teammates pick up their play and directing his teammates through set plays.

This good to here that the Blues top 2 prospects at the WJC are doing good. Hoping that Berglund will be ready for NA style hockey at the beginning of the 08-09 season.

Phil Larsen might get drafted, great lateral mobility, strong physically, good offensive abilities. He's tough to rub out and is one of the few defenders in the tourny that can contain canadian forwards without taking a penalty.

He might be drafted in 1-2 rounds.

Watching Larsen against Canada reminded me of Kris Russell at 17.

John Tavares is Canada's best player.

Ive seen Larsen a lot and i think he is way overhyped. He should NOT be drafted in the first two rounds. That would be a mistake. His hockeysense is although superb with great passinggame.. but he has a lot of flaws.. he sucks on the blueline in pp... (slows things down and he never shoots.. and he shoots bad) he is small and weak in defensive zone.. he is not very reliable at all.. he is a very poormans Tobias Enström (although Larsen shoots right)... but Enström was A LOT better at the same age.

Its actually a joke that he has been the one who´s been playing on Frölunda a-team (although he is a d-man) while Lars Eller and Joakim Andersson (Andersson has been better than Eller so far) was sent down to Borås (tier2).

It's Philip Larsen. Might get drafted???? He is a 1.th round pick.
But of course, how shut you now, he is a D-man, and nobody ever write about those guy's.
Larsen played his first elite-match in Sweden, just after he turned 17'teen

#2 for Columbus this year, captain of Medicine Hat Tigers for the past couple of years, and Canada's most effective offensive d-man at last year's WJC.

Eller has only recently shaken off the effects of off-season wrist surgery which sidelined him for the beginning of the season. Look for him to start to pick up his play after the WJC concludes...
