That's sad.

Only guy on that list worth the top salary is Vinny. Even with how horrible Tampa has been, paying that guy 10 million this season would still be worth every penny thus far.

I so would have traded Rafalski + change to Edmonton for Pronger.

I would have trade Gomez for Rob Neidermayer + pick way back when.

Note that Briere's contract is front loaded. He's only counting for $6.5 million on the cap.

So are alot of people on that list. Doesn't make them worth the money this year.

yeah it's a little annoying when people are like "but our CAP hit is only..."

so what? they're still walking out with 10 million dollars and not 1 of those 10 mil players has been worth that much this season. Briere has been the better of the bunch, IMO, but still, at best they're all worth 5 at this point.

Yeah, even though I became a devils fan before Marty was a devil, I certainly stayed a devils fan because of him.

Why do you care? Are you the owner of the Devils? Is it your money?

Cap hit is the only thing that matters when it comes to the competitiveness of the team, which is what I thought fans cared about. At least it's what I care about. Elias's 6 million cap hit was a bargain at the time, and it isn't all that horrible even now.

because people aren't paying a lot of money to have a guy earn over 6 million and mostly suck.

He was grossly underpaid in seasons such as 00-01 when he made less than a mil and scored 40-56-96. Now he's a bit overpaid. Things even out.

sort of the same way Jay Pandolfo has been grossly unpaid his entire career, including now? We all know he's a modest, meat and potatoes kind of guy, a true team player. But you mean to tell me they can't even break a million for him?

Sorry but, as a fan who attends games you have every right to ***** about what a guy is being paid and what he's producing for the team. Your money is going to pay for him.

And I'd pay that kind of money to all those guys I bolded except for Sakic, Datsyuk, and Gaborik (only because he gets hurt too much).
