Under team/artist click on New Jersey Devils.

Thought this was funny because my first thread here was looking for New Era flat-brim Devils hats.
Then when I was X-Mas shopping for my little brother at the New Era store in Manhattan I saw that they had 59-Fifty Devils fitteds.
Only difference is that the website has them in purple or blue, but the store had the regular colors (Black hat with Red/White logo).

That's pretty cool too because they don't make 59-Fifty hats in every sport. Baseball is the big seller but there's not many (if any) NBA or NFL in that style, just MLB and now NHL. And apparently not every NHL team made the 59-Fifty either. I just looked for the Sabres and no dice, just New Era's other styles.

Just thought I'd share for anyone looking for a new hat :)

I understand, and have definitely wanted one for awhile. That is pretty sweet, although the colors suck. If I could get one in black, I would be on it like white on rice. Did they have a black on at the store you went to? I work in manhattan and would definitely stop by after work to pick it up. I beat the crap out of my yankee one and am about ready for an official devils one.

Check out ecapcity.com. They just got in some black/red Devils caps. distantreplays.com has all red and all green.

I love how I got excited to see both hats on ecapcity.com, yet neither come in my size, 7 1/8. The red brim is only bigger, and the all black is only smaller...

:shakehead Whats the deal with the straight brims and keeping tags and stickers on the hat? Is this like the same thing as women who wear a dress once to a wedding and return it since they didn't cut the tags? I thought the brim was bent to keep the sun(light)out of your eyes...and if I ever see someone with a devils logo on mets or lakers colors I will puke....this company is a disgrace....

They did in fact. It's on East 4th between Broadway and Lafayette. If you're doing the subway, the 6 to Astor Place, NRW to 8th Street or ABCDEFV to West 4th.

It's a style ("urban", if you will) and a pretty popular one at that. I love the Devils but I also like colors other than Black, White, and Red. Best of both worlds for me. Though I won't be getting the Mets colored one out of principle.

Rules for Wearing Flat Brim hats....You MUST..

A. Be under 20 years of age

D. Own tons of Sean John or Fubu gear
E. Own at least one oversized white t shirt that hangs down to your knees
F. All of the above

E. Own at least one oversized white t shirt that hangs down to your knees
F. All of the above

I beg to differ, it's more like

A. Must shop at Against All Odds or Epic or buy clothes that "fall of the truck" from apartments turned flea-markets in NYC. (i've been there, I know)
B. Wish you were a rapper
C. Don't realize you look retarded
D. Own clothes that have ridiculous amounts of color, patches, and weird prints on them
E. Enjoy plain colored t-shirts that make you look like someones girlfriend that put your shirt on instead of their own.
F. Walk with a limp, although you have no physical ailment preventing you from walking like a normal human being.
G. Probably drag your heels as you limp because apparently tying your shoes is as out of the question as removing the tags from your clothes is.
H. Regardless of your location you cannot resist the temptation to blast your horrible, talentless hip-hop with your windows wide open so everyone can look and think you're just SO cool for listening to that new Lil-bow-wow CD (ok I know that's an exaggeration)
I. Despite spending thousands of dollars a year on "new" shoes and clothes you're probably never going to remove the tags from, you still continue to bum cigarettes off of every person around you smoking one.
J. As you walk away and put your 400 dollar Ipod back on, you continue to rap along, aloud, to the lyrics of the song you're listening to regardless of the fact that it's both inappropriate and obnoxious.
K. You use your own language to communicate with people and when no one understands what the **** you're talking about you walk away with the feeling that they are just "wack" and that your absolute decimation of the English language should actually be an acceptable means of speaking since it's not all "geeky" and "proper."
L. Contrary to being raised in middle-class suburbia you constantly speak of "the streets" and the "hard life" that no one else understands. (I think you're in the wrong stereotype...please see: Emo)

haha I could go on forever, and most of those come simply from acquaintances and kids I see at school.

Ps- bend your ****ing brim, you chode. your hat looks like something Chevy Chase would wear in the 80's Lampoons movies he did. :biglaugh:

Seriously though, you guys are focusing on one stereotypical group of people who wear fitted hats. There are plenty of well-dressed intelligent people who wear them as well. You will find that New Era makes fitted hats for tons of other companies besides sports teams. Companies that traditionally have nothing to do with hip-hop culture.

IMO I think those brims that are curved 180 degrees look retarded.

Thats only because you haven't seen me yet....:sarcasm:

In all seriousness, they are fitted hats, not called flat brim. If you want to wear the brim flat, fine. If not, fine. Those fitted hats I usually wear backward or forward with a bit of a bend. With my one size fits all hats, I usually bend them a lot with one of those Lids hat curvers.

the hats look and fit better with the brim flat.. personally i hate the curved brim it looks stupid and doesnt feel right on your head..

I'm sure not one who likes all the wierd colors, but give me team colors anyday.. and yes the sticker left on the hat is stupid i can agree with that but the flat brim is a must for a hat.

Plus new era is by far the best hat ever, the quality of the hat surpasses any hat out there. there made really well.

the red and black hat is sick. And you shouldn't curve the brim on this hat either. ONly slightly.

Pretty cool looking hats by New Era. Might have to go check some of them out. Like the fitted hats the best.

For those who hate the sticker and the flat brim, get over it! :) I've worked at BET for 6 years and i hated it, now i don't give a hoot. i share your opinion that it's dumb but i just don't care anymore. At least the Rappers and kids stopped wearing the sticker on their pants that shows waist size and inseam! also, I personally like flexfit hats more than fitted hats! and there was a thread a while back in the islander board that had an isles hat in devil colors and a devil hat in isles colors! weird stuff
