Can i get some hardline critique on him?

Is he ever going to amount to anything?
Projections for the future?
Hows his doing right now?

The guy has a wicked wrist shot, he's the one that put White's eye out.

He's got potential, the problem is no motivation. He plays like he's a zombie out there alot of times. He's got the talent but not the drive to be up top. His talents put him up in the 1st or 2nd line potential, if someone could work with him to get his drive, he'll be as good as Elias.

He's also soft. The guy is afraid of being hit. He needs some conditioning or something.

He's only 20 in his third AHL season, so he's ahead of the curve as far as most 20 year olds go.

He made the team out of camp but got injured, and has struggled with being in and out of the lineup because of injuries.

When healthy I've heard he's been good. He always seems to have a number of shots in most of his games (6 or so).

I have a feeling he was bummed about being sent down and therefore his numbers aren't where we'd want them.

I think he can still be a good one for us regardless, he certainly has some more time to mature. I think he'll get a callup or two down the stretch and will probably make the team full time out of camp.

I don't know much about Bergfors, but I took a look at his stats in Lowell and Bergfors with 2 goals compared to Malmivaara's 3 is a bit frightening.

His potential is bigger than his motivation. 3 years in Lowell :help:

He's still got time to put it all together, but next season will really be a make it or break it year, and I don't think he'll make it.

there is just a feel of "bad omen" for a kid that gets a shot basically handed to him out of camp and then gets injured before he can do anything with it.

he looked good in the limited ice i saw him get. he had 3 SOG in the 1 NHL i saw him skate.

i have seen him a few times in the AHL and had to make a special effort to look for him on the ice. thats never good.

he has never been consistent. once he gets older i think he will round into a solid NHL depth forward who can core goals, but i don't think he is going to turn into the true scoring forward that he has the skills to become.

he's been injured, but has been getting better, it doesn't help that Lowell doesn't score many goals. I still have faith in bergfors mainly because of his age and he did make the team out of camp, he needs to get bigger because he was pushed around in the tampa game and eventually left cause of an injury.

He played well in that first game and got completely robbed on one of his shots. Again, he has the potential, I just don't know where I would put him or who I would sit out of Elias, Zubrus, Gionta, Parise, Zajac, Langenbrunner, Pandolfo, Madden, Clarkson, Brylin, Pelley, and Asham. I guess I would perhaps switch him with Asham every once in awhile...

That's the good thing. More time for him to develop.
