Kunitz-Getzlaf-Perry Platt-Marchant-Bertuzzi Moen-Pahlsson-Niedermayer May-Miller-Parros snarktacular 12-14-2007, 10:20 PM Well it sucks that we don't have McDonald tonight. Why not wait a half a day to make the trade? On the other hand, Mikko Koivu's still out so at least we stand a chance. Wasn't he only supposed to be out like 3 games? What happened? Is Getzlaf better than him at healing too? Yeah looks like Sutherby is out again. Kunitz-Getzlaf-Perry Platt-Marchant-Bertuzzi Moen-Pahlsson-Niedermayer May-Miller-Parros Miller can play center? Didn't realize that. It'll be interesting to see how he does on faceoffs, that could be important to replace Marchant eventually. Ducks_è_Halos 12-14-2007, 10:25 PM My Center Ice online is not working for some reason :( On the other hand, Mikko Koivu's still out so at least we stand a chance. Wasn't he only supposed to be out like 3 games? What happened? Is Getzlaf better than him at healing too? lol :snide: snarktacular 12-14-2007, 10:26 PM Why does Voros sound like a robot or a monster or something? Ugh. This period is reminding me why I hate watching Dallas or Minnesota games. I feel sorry for anyone who paid to watch this game. cmcdmania 12-14-2007, 10:28 PM And there goes another game where we give up the first goal. :( Mooseduck 12-14-2007, 10:29 PM haha giguere needs more defencemen snarktacular 12-14-2007, 10:29 PM Wow nice dangles by Bertuzzi. Too bad he has no finish. And the robot scores off of DiPenta. Yeah that was a weak goal. snarktacular 12-14-2007, 10:33 PM And there goes another game where we give up the first goal. :( Anaheim hasn't scored 1st since November 21, 12 games ago. Before Thanksgiving. Mooseduck 12-14-2007, 10:36 PM Hazy really trying to sell Weight on the broadcast. Give us a break - up to last Friday Weight had 0 goals and 6 assists (25 games). We know what to expect playing with Bertlouzy. snarktacular 12-14-2007, 10:38 PM Hey DiPenta did something positive on transitional defense!!! He slowed Rolston down enough for Beauchemin to knock it away. McDonald19 12-14-2007, 10:42 PM What a boring hockey game. snarktacular 12-14-2007, 10:47 PM What a boring hockey game. Well it does make you appreciate Minnesota's great attendance year after year. Those St. Paulers must have a lot of excess money to buy season tickets to watch that 41 times a year. Either that or there's a lot of insomniacs. cmcdmania 12-14-2007, 10:47 PM I'm listening to the radio. More boring than the game because all I heard for a few minutes was birds at the beach or something. How nice. Rotten 12-14-2007, 10:47 PM Giguere gives up another soft goal, even if it was deflected. Hayward was praising Giguere once again before the puck dropped, even though JS has been very mediocre. Hazy is so in love with JS - he wont admit the goal was soft. Man, I hate Hayward with a passion. HATE. Yes, it's a boring hockey game - I guess this is to be expected against the Wild. Makes the soft goal even worse playing against the Wild, considering how well they shut down opposing teams. Rotten 12-14-2007, 10:51 PM Looks like that 2nd round pick for Sutherby is really paying off. :shakehead snarktacular 12-14-2007, 10:55 PM Does anyone have a kid? Someone HAS to go to the Wal-Mart with Perry and ask him to to sign the kit with "... is gonna get it." snarktacular 12-14-2007, 11:01 PM Haha. When Burke's talking about Birner. "He has a high penalty minute total for a European forward, so that's good." BraveSirRobin 12-14-2007, 11:02 PM Does anyone have a kid? Someone HAS to go to the Wal-Mart with Perry and ask him to to sign the kit with "... is gonna get it." Ha, you know, I may actually go out to Pomona to meet Kent Huskins. As for a kid...I have a friend who has one. I don't know about you guys, but I'm kind of interested in the prospect we got, Michal Birner. So far, I like what I've heard and read about him. snarktacular 12-14-2007, 11:09 PM Nice shot by Gaborik. And the Wild is STILL on the PP. Rotten 12-14-2007, 11:10 PM High-glove goal on Giguere. What else is new? Hayward really doesn't like Beauchemin much, eh? snarktacular 12-14-2007, 11:11 PM Click. Joe Canada 12-14-2007, 11:11 PM High-glove goal on Gigure. What else is new? Your apparent hate-on for Giguere and Hayward? =\ Mooseduck 12-14-2007, 11:12 PM haha - pull giguere to preserve his stats Cheers Burke - here's to you! :handclap: BraveSirRobin 12-14-2007, 11:12 PM Poop. Apparently the radio feed doesn't make the goals any less painful. theMessiah1194 12-14-2007, 11:13 PM dammit, I have 832 vCash riding on the ducks, ugh High Glove 12-14-2007, 11:13 PM DiPenta is absolutely BRUTAL! He was standing still right in front of both of those PPGs for Minnesota. I can't stress enough how much he has to be waived. Rotten 12-14-2007, 11:13 PM Now Hazy is offering up excuses for Giguere. Yup, this is why I always watch the opposing team's feed (if avail) when Anaheim plays. Disgusting. Rotten 12-14-2007, 11:17 PM Your apparent hate-on for Giguere and Hayward? =\ lol. Well, hate for Hayward... ALWAYS. Hate for Hayward because he does nothing but praise JS even when he sucks? Yup. Hate for Giguere because he cant stop a shot high-glove to save his life? Yup. snarktacular 12-14-2007, 11:19 PM I would like to add that DiPenta has been on the ice for 5 of the last 6 goals against. Although so has Beauchemin (actually 7 of the last 9 for Frankie vs 6 of the last 9 for Dippy). Mooseduck 12-14-2007, 11:30 PM Bertlousy with the kids and still can't get his stick on the puck. haha seeing May, Parros and Sutherby makes me laugh out loud - more proof that RC is really lost. Hopefully, Teemu will come back and coach the offense (like last year). oh yah Wild score again. Mooseduck 12-14-2007, 11:32 PM and score again - 5-0 :help: Wild call a time out to laugh at Burke and the Ducks. High Glove 12-14-2007, 11:32 PM Kill me. Please. Just stuff a Duraflame down my throat, lite it and back away.:madfire: Mooseduck 12-14-2007, 11:35 PM Kill me. Please. Just stuff a Duraflame down my throat, lite it and back away.:madfire: Don't do that. Grab your skates and get down to Honda Center. Burke will likely oversign a contract and RC will put you on either the Parros or Bertlousy line. :biglaugh: Curse of the Ugly Banners Continues ... High Glove 12-14-2007, 11:39 PM Too late, Mooseduck. I'm dead. The Ducks killed me. :pout: (Plus, I can't skate backwards.) (Then again, neither can Joe DiPenta.) Rotten 12-14-2007, 11:44 PM And to think Nieds & Weight are going to solve this team's problems. Cant win many games without consistent, solid goaltending and the ability to score goals. Ducks_è_Halos 12-14-2007, 11:47 PM My Center Ice online is not working for some reason :( Giving how this game seems to be going, I guess it should have been, "My Center Ice online is not working for some reason *:)* Ducks 12-14-2007, 11:57 PM Don't do that. Too bad they couldn't keep a phone line to St. Louis open for more than a minute. snarktacular 12-15-2007, 12:11 AM The only things left to resolve in this game. 1) Will they score a goal? 2) Will there be a fight? 3) Will there be a cheapshot and a subsequent whine thread on the main board? 4) Will the crowd start booing? 5) Will anyone stay awake? They scored to prove me wrong. May's son totally rolled his eyes and was like "this is stupid" to the happy holidays thing. jfont 12-15-2007, 12:26 AM to those who keep sniping at each other, please hash it out via PM. cmcdmania 12-15-2007, 12:28 AM Any chance of getting 3 more goals in 30ish seconds? snarktacular 12-15-2007, 12:29 AM Hey the big injury actually got a goal. That's unexpected. BraveSirRobin 12-15-2007, 12:49 AM Well, I missed most of the game to take a shower. I was personally hoping that the Ducks would wake up and have the game tied up when I came back. Alas, they did not. I hope that Weight can help calm this team down, help out on the ice, and teach DiPenta how to skate. If he can do at least one of those things I'd be a happy camper. iHATEbeauch23 12-15-2007, 01:08 AM Just got back: All i have to say is that the loss was 100% entirely Jiggy's fault Ducksforcup 12-15-2007, 01:32 AM Well, I hope that Weight and S. Nieds will make a difference. Hope. I'm not sure that it a good thing or not that I am finally getting used to losing again. It was a hard trek, but I have finally arrived at that unhappy medium. :( Heavy Hussar 12-15-2007, 01:56 AM Hazy really trying to sell Weight on the broadcast. SERIOUSLY ***S T F U*** I have to listen to an obnoxious kings fan at work all day saying ducks suck this and that, im not about to have my favorite boards ruined by a whiny little *****. you wanna criticize? go ***** with some queens fans ***. lux_interior 12-15-2007, 02:03 AM Some thoughts: Giguere gets outplayed by a lesser goalie....again. DiPenta just blows. Weight has a bad attitude about this trade. Doesn't look good. Bertuzzi and Getzlaf were our best forwards. We need to start playing better or the playoffs are a pipe dream. I've been doing a lot of fast forwarding of games this season. Pretty much from the second period on in this one. Gyroduck 12-15-2007, 02:40 AM Well, I missed most of the game to take a shower. I was personally hoping that the Ducks would wake up and have the game tied up when I came back. Alas, they did not. I hope that Weight can help calm this team down, help out on the ice, and teach DiPenta how to skate. If he can do at least one of those things I'd be a happy camper. With all due respect, that is a heck of a long shower. California is in drought mode. :) lux_interior 12-15-2007, 02:42 AM Maybe he just takes one shower per year, so it kinda averages out.;) Gyroduck 12-15-2007, 02:52 AM I agree with many here and as I have posted before, Giggy is starting to look like his fortune, fame, and demise is being created by the defense that surrounds him. Our defense WILL breakdown at times (recently many times), but that's why he gets paid the big bucks. He's got to save the ones that count. When he saves those, and it will come, the team will respond to that in a positive way. Today in my mind, Giggy wears the 'C' and 'Neids' to come up big. Nearly half of the season is over. LETS GO DUCKS! Lyons71 12-15-2007, 05:19 AM Man, i skipped this game to go on a bad date! WTF? There is no redeeming factor to this night! Pwnasaurus 12-15-2007, 12:22 PM Weight has a bad attitude about this trade. Doesn't look good. I thought I heard he waived a NTC clause for the trade to happen? lux_interior 12-15-2007, 12:37 PM I thought I heard he waived a NTC clause for the trade to happen? From the reports I've read, he wasn't too happy about it. Kinda had his arm twisted to do it. That said, he could be very good for us. kenabnrmal 12-15-2007, 12:42 PM Some thoughts: Giguere gets outplayed by a lesser goalie....again. I wouldnt be too concerned about Weights initial comments following the trade. As an older, veteran guy who probably hoped to finish it up in St. Louis, yeah, he's not going to be pleased with being dealt. However, like others have said, he's a gamer, and he'll bring his best to the team. Whatever that's worth at this point in his career. Sorry to see Andy go, but he was never going to be our number-one center anymore, with Getzlaf's ascension and Andy's production sans Selanne. St. Louis is a better fit for him at this point. I would have preferred to get something more for him, but I think Weight will do alright for us. On the plus-side, they found a way to keep Schneider AND Niedermayer, giving the Ducks one incredible defense on-paper. They have to find a way to make the playoffs, and that may mean making another move. But, as sub-par as Giguere is playing at this point, I'll confidently take him, our D, and our Cup-winning forwards in the playoffs. Dirk316 12-15-2007, 02:38 PM Why is it when this team starts fighting it wins? Platt and Drew Miller :shakehead worthless, bring up Ryan :shakehead iHATEbeauch23 12-15-2007, 03:29 PM Why is it when this team starts fighting it wins? Platt and Drew Miller :shakehead worthless, bring up Ryan :shakehead god i know, get miller off of this team. parros should average a fight per game:teach: snarktacular 12-15-2007, 03:35 PM Miller was only on the ice for the 1st powerplay goal. He had an alright game. He didn't do too bad on the PK last night, he'd actually supplanted Moen as the 4th forward. Nothing good, nothing bad. DiPenta was on ice for 3 of the 5 goals. Beauchemin was on the ice for all of them. Rough night for those 2. I bet Beauchemin can't wait until Scotty's back. Diggy 12-15-2007, 04:22 PM Miller was only on the ice for the 1st powerplay goal. Beauchemin was on the ice for all of them. Rough night for those 2. I bet Beauchemin can't wait until Scotty's back. I have not felt Beauchemin has been playing well for 10 games or so. He seems to be trying to be too offensive and jumps up a lot more this year and gets caught out of position. Surprisingly, O'Donnell has been very solid and deserves some props for his great defensive playing this year. Pwnasaurus 12-15-2007, 04:28 PM From the reports I've read, he wasn't too happy about it. Kinda had his arm twisted to do it. That said, he could be very good for us. Sandman33 12-15-2007, 05:27 PM Yeah I just heard a rumor that he was told if he didn't waive the NTC he'd be placed on waivers. So if he doesnt play well on purpose how can Burke punish him? Chone 12-15-2007, 06:17 PM This game just seemed like a cluster**** waiting to happen. Once we get Weight and Niedermayer back I'm sure everything will be a little more cohesive, especially against the Sharks, the Ducks always play hard against the Sharks.
