Sorry if this has been asked or answered, but I'm just curious. Does Scotty get the captaincy when he returns, and if so, was it offered by Pronger or a move made by the staff?

I guess they could give the guy who sat out part of a season a letter back, but carlyle wouldn't do it. He'll be whatever leader he needs to be. I just doubt he'll get a letter. Especially since he doesn't even know if he's playing next year. Letters go to committed guys... Why wasn't it Selanne? The coaches felt Nieds was the better choice. And obviously they had very good success the past two seasons with Scott as captain, so it looks good.
