Time to take back the division.
Toronto has been playing well but this is a game the Rangers should win, at home.

Im gonna say 6-3 Rangers. Goals by Callahan, Prucha, Straka, Jagr, Hossa and Tyutin Is it confirmed that Lundqvist is in net???
important game cause other teams are closing in on us.
danno2530 12-05-2007, 10:37 PM Bad night with Philly and the Devils winning..would be nice if the Devils could lose A game.
Tough spot here, Toskala has owned us.
It worked last week twice, let's try it again:
9-0 Leafs. 79 save shutout by Toskala.
bumrusherer 12-06-2007, 01:22 AM Not often that a team is worse than us in both PP and PK's.
Anyway...Shanny hat trick and a 5-1 win.
redbranch 12-06-2007, 01:49 AM I'll take a win any way I can get it, at this point. We need to keep up with the division, and toronto is a game we *can* win. And it's so nice to see other loonies up as late as I am, though I'm actually working

Yeah its crazy, especially the Atlantic. They should give out a mini Cup to whoever wins the division.
And please don't call it the Hummer Metro Ice Challenge Cup.

It's the Maple Leafs. That's how it is. It says a lot more about their fans then it does about ours. Get used to it if you're not already.

There will be fewer, however, because it is not a weekend. Hey, good for them for being well connected.
RangerBoy 12-06-2007, 10:48 AM Same line-up tonight.Paul Mara is healthy enough to play but Renney is staying the same defense pairs from Monday
Paul Mara is still out so you can expect the same lineup tonight against the Leafs. Tom Renney said Mara was more or less fit to play, so the scratch tonight is a coach’s decision. Tomorrow in Atlanta remains a possibility, however.
As for Lundqvist, don’t be surprised if you see him playing back-to-back games tonight and tomorrow in Atlanta. Renney sounded like that’s where he was leaning. And you figured if you were going to see Stephen Valiquette, you’d see him tonight against the Leafs, whom he’s already had success against.

nah, play henrik, he needs to bounce back, not saying it was his fault, but the team played ugly last game

If the Rangers win tonight, they might give Vally a shot tomorrow night. Then Hank back at home against the Devs on Sunday. And after that, they only have one game in the next six days.

SingnBluesOnBroadway 12-06-2007, 12:17 PM id put lundqvist vs the thrashers and Vally tonight.
Rather give Lunqvist two full days rest before the Devils come in. Division rival. Tied for first. Bigger game. He plays tonight, he gets two full days of rest. If he plays tomorrow, he gets one day of rest (and they are travelling).

Lundqvist
Lundqvist
Karan 12-06-2007, 12:39 PM Lundqvist's gotta get these upcoming starts. He hasnt looked like he's been in his usual rhythm like the early season, and can only get that with playing time.

damm...time to get myself a new book...six looonggg daysss

Chimp 12-06-2007, 02:16 PM I agree, play Lundqvist. The only nights he has struggled, were strangely enough the nights where he rested the game before. Sort of came out of his groove or something.
I expect a much, much better performance from this team tonight, than the pitiful display against Carolina.
i dont think we should be preoccupied with the standings per se, just wins and playing well..
I agree, play Lundqvist. The only nights he has struggled, were strangely enough the nights where he rested the game before. Sort of came out of his groove or something.
And besides is very unusual for him to have to bad games in a row.
So I think it is good for him (and thereby the team) to play as again as possible after a stinker.
ThirdEye 12-06-2007, 02:26 PM I think some of Lundqvist's struggles might because we are scoring goals :amazed:
Seriously, if you look at his numbers you will see that he's much better in close, low-scoring games. The Rangers should wait until the last 5 minutes of the game to score their goals ;)
HockeyBasedNYC 12-06-2007, 02:48 PM And besides is very unusual for him to have to bad games in a row.

4-1 final
Crash the Net 12-06-2007, 03:59 PM Play better than last game and pull out 2 points, I don't care if it's by 1 goal or 15.
9darter 12-06-2007, 04:35 PM Scott Gomez scoring breakout night!
5-0 Rangers (Gomez, Gomez, Gomez, Callahan, Gomez)!
JA#11 12-06-2007, 04:54 PM Rather give Lunqvist two full days rest before the Devils come in. Division rival. Tied for first. Bigger game. He plays tonight, he gets two full days of rest. If he plays tomorrow, he gets one day of rest (and they are travelling).
Yea, but Lundqvist hasn't been good after a rest. So I wouldn't risk it when first place is on the line.

shoothepuck 12-06-2007, 05:06 PM Drop the puck. NY better come to play tonight, and redeem themselves
RangersHockeyLetsGo 12-06-2007, 05:06 PM Lets go Rangers big:handclap: night for the 3rd line
Oldschool hockey fan 12-06-2007, 05:08 PM I'll say 3-2 Rangers...
Goals by, Jagr, Girardi, Shanahan
Orr and Belak will drop the gloves.
Chimp 12-06-2007, 05:11 PM On another note, what exactly is the purpose of our third line? It's not a scoring line, what have they produced after a third of the season, one goal total? They aren't a defensive line, because they usually not play defense against the opponents' top line, that's the job of the 4th line. They're not an energy line, because they aren't hitting particulary much.
So, what are they? A "let's rest the other lines" line?
bumrusherer 12-06-2007, 05:14 PM Well, its nice to know that we've came out with a lot of energy :(
Wake up rangers
coolbean04 12-06-2007, 05:14 PM This team sucks so bad right now.
shoothepuck 12-06-2007, 05:14 PM Stajin scores on a rebound...
shoothepuck 12-06-2007, 05:18 PM Betts to the box, great start...
Chimp 12-06-2007, 05:18 PM Aaaaaargh! Idiots! How about letting two guys rush the puck holder, leaving no one with Stajan? He was frigging skating between the hash marks, it's not like he was invisible or anything. It is coming to the point where I think I would play better positional defense than the Rangers right now.
Who was that right defenseman? Girardi?
Lundqvist=Vezina 12-06-2007, 05:20 PM Hossa hasn't scored a goal since february last season. Jesus Christ, I didn't know it was that bad. :shakehead

JerseyRangers 12-06-2007, 06:12 PM Thanks alot you stupid oaf Malik! Is it a coincidence that we played our best hockey when doofus was injured? GET RID OF THAT STUPID OAF MALIK!!!!!
Noonan25 12-06-2007, 06:13 PM Funny we have given up 3 goals in the two games Malek has come back
Shadowtron 12-06-2007, 06:14 PM Think it might be time to sit Hank for a game or two. He's played a lot of hockey and just doesn't seem as sharp as we was a month ago. Let him take a couple of games off, get in some good practices, and get his edge back.
JerseyRangers 12-06-2007, 06:14 PM Funny we have given up 3 goals in the two games Malek has come back
Yeah, he sure is solid in the defensive zone. GET RID OF THAT STUPID OAF!
Gutchecktime 12-06-2007, 06:14 PM Wozniewski is great at contributing to goals for the Rangers.
Malik is great at contributing to goals for the Leafs.
I see a solution here, let's just trade them for each other! :naughty:
theMessiah1194 12-06-2007, 06:14 PM just got in, tied up 2-2 I see, anyone wanna sum it up so far for me?? thanks

er...it's 3-2 leafs
NYR27 12-06-2007, 06:16 PM rangers came out like crap and let up 2 lazy ones - orr got in a fight - which was a draw/loss then they took a cheap shot in front of theri net - PP goal - cally drew a nice hustle PP and we scored to tie
Shadowtron 12-06-2007, 06:17 PM Dubinsky can never bury one..
How does he shoot it wide with less than a foot of space between you and the goalie!
theMessiah1194 12-06-2007, 06:18 PM rangers came out like crap and let up 2 lazy ones - orr got in a fight - which was a draw/loss then they took a cheap shot in front of theri net - PP goal - cally drew a nice hustle PP and we scored to tie
damn, who'd he lose to?? belak???
FATCHAMALA11 12-06-2007, 06:18 PM How does he shoot it wide with less than a foot of space between you and the goalie!
I'm convinced we lead the league in wide shots and having shots blocked..
We're also up there in give aways.
NYR27 12-06-2007, 06:19 PM damn, who'd he lose to?? belak???
yup - wade got a nice first shot in and colton never recovered
theMessiah1194 12-06-2007, 06:19 PM I see Toots and Danny G scored for us. MY god is offense inept or what?? jeez
Shadowtron 12-06-2007, 06:19 PM I'm convinced we lead the league in wide shots and having shots blocked..

It's ridiculous.
NYR27 12-06-2007, 06:20 PM I see Toots and Danny G scored for us. MY god is offense inept or what?? jeez
nah actually 2 nice set ups from gomez, just last man in type things
FATCHAMALA11 12-06-2007, 06:24 PM We either need another fight, or 10 Tyutins and 10 Girardis out there.
FATCHAMALA11 12-06-2007, 06:27 PM It's ridiculous.
Add fanned shots and broken sticks to the list..
NYR27 12-06-2007, 06:28 PM this is ridiculous
did someone put out a scouting tape called how to beat the rangers and stock it with footage of boring hockey?
bumrusherer 12-06-2007, 06:28 PM Toronto seem to be happy to settle for the 3-2....we've got to make sure that we take care of the puck in that case.
NYR27 12-06-2007, 06:32 PM good lord
Karan 12-06-2007, 06:32 PM Ugh that could be it :(
bumrusherer 12-06-2007, 06:32 PM Hanks % is shot.
Toronto arent even trying to do anything and they have 4 goals.
pardonme 12-06-2007, 06:32 PM Would be nice if Drury scored on the other side of the ice.
theMessiah1194 12-06-2007, 06:32 PM ugly, 4-2 now, its going to be really hard for us to score 2 goals to tie this thing
our offense is really bad, i thought by now it'd work its way out but this is getting ugly
Karan 12-06-2007, 06:33 PM Lundqvists SV% has gone down the toilet tonight :(
theMessiah1194 12-06-2007, 06:33 PM Hanks % is shot.

yup, 4 goals on 10 shots isn't good
Noonan25 12-06-2007, 06:33 PM 8 goals since Malek has come back.
Have to blame Renney fr screwing up the D
MandyB 12-06-2007, 06:33 PM This is getting sad all over again.
All of that positive karma at the end of the first period kind of went through the window.
NYR27 12-06-2007, 06:34 PM anyone else hate hearing how great it is that renney can put their 4th against another teams first - it's killing us, shift after TOR scores we have our 4s out - that's not gonna do much
Shadowtron 12-06-2007, 06:34 PM I can't watch them play like this. Happened too often over the last 10 years. Don't have a stomach for it. Hope everyone has a goodnight.
BenedictGomez 12-06-2007, 06:35 PM Hanks % is shot.
On the bright side, Drury finally scored. :sarcasm:
Seriously though, you cant fault Henrik on that one, the dang thing tipped nastily. Nothing he could do there.
FATCHAMALA11 12-06-2007, 06:35 PM has Lundqvist got migrains again? what's up with these crap goals..
FutureGM97 12-06-2007, 06:35 PM ugh....i hate these rangers
nyrfan444 12-06-2007, 06:36 PM why are we so damn inconsistent
NYR27 12-06-2007, 06:37 PM look at the bright side - after this effort, there is no way we are going to be tired tomorrow
FATCHAMALA11 12-06-2007, 06:37 PM do we get stripped of the puck every minute or what..
DruMez 12-06-2007, 06:37 PM Disgusting.
We're not going to win a game when the only goals are by Tyutin & Girardi.
TheSchwab 12-06-2007, 06:37 PM Hank seems to be slowin down from his usual elite performances, time to win a game as a team!
Maineice11 12-06-2007, 06:37 PM wow....they are playing sooooo badly right now! PICK IT UP FOR THE 3RD RANGERS!!!!! LET'S GO BLUE!!!!!
bumrusherer 12-06-2007, 06:38 PM Averyyyyyyyy, where art thou????
Top line.....are you still breathing?
Gutchecktime 12-06-2007, 06:39 PM why are we so damn inconsistent
I know I'm probably not welcome here right now, but IMO it seems like almost every team in the league has struggled with consistency this season. I think it has more to do with parity than anything. Visit almost any team board on this forum and you'll hear the same thing.
I wouldn't be too concerned, you've got a talented bunch, it'll get better.
Shadowtron 12-06-2007, 06:39 PM Averyyyyyyyy, where art thou????
It's stunning how badly we play when he's out.
theMessiah1194 12-06-2007, 06:39 PM 8 goals since Malek has come back.

yea, Maloney was saying earlier that this team plays better when Staal is getting 18-20 min a game, he's right, Malik is done, Mara can't come back any sooner.
theMessiah1194 12-06-2007, 06:40 PM It's stunning how badly we play when he's out.
it really is, we are lifeless without Sean
If this Avery BS,(team can't play hard), is for real this team is farther away from the Cup then we all thought. I really can not believe this lackluster sloppy play. :shakehead
theMessiah1194 12-06-2007, 06:41 PM I can't watch them play like this. Happened too often over the last 10 years. Don't have a stomach for it. Hope everyone has a goodnight.
I know what you mean, I'm getting flash backs for 03', I'll be switching back and forth between the Skin/Bear game now
Would be nice if Drury scored on the other side of the ice.
No problem, just wait for the next period :)
Chimp 12-06-2007, 06:41 PM If this Avery BS,(team can't play hard), is for real this team is farther away from the Cup then we all thought. I really can not believe this lackluster sloppy play. :shakehead
Cup? Cup?! This team hasn't been close to a cup all season. Why the hell did this team decide to suck at playing defense all of a sudden?
FATCHAMALA11 12-06-2007, 06:42 PM can we get someone to cripple malik again? is his contract up this year?
hockeyviper87 12-06-2007, 06:42 PM anyone who doesnt want to play the 4th line better not want the 1st line out there, because at least the 4th had a scoring chance......and they werent even out there for the power play....
segmentation fault 12-06-2007, 06:43 PM :shakehead Pathetic.
BenedictGomez 12-06-2007, 06:44 PM Yeah, this game is brutal. Only 26 total shots in 40 minutes of hockey, time to watch the 3rd period of Habs/Bruins.
JerseyRangers 12-06-2007, 06:45 PM yea, Maloney was saying earlier that this team plays better when Staal is getting 18-20 min a game, he's right, Malik is done, Mara can't come back any sooner.
Time to trade the Big Oaf (assuming anyone wants anything so useless)! If Renney doesn't sit that worthless pile of manure tomorrow nite and plays Mara then he's nuts! I'm starting to think Urianov and Krappa would be better than Malik and whoever draws the short straw that nite!
FATCHAMALA11 12-06-2007, 06:45 PM I'm still not liking a rookie as our 1st line center.. should experiment a little longer with gomez or drury.. play doobie with prucha and cally..
The Thomas J. 12-06-2007, 06:46 PM my god we suck!
hello December swon
WhatThePuck 12-06-2007, 06:47 PM Dammit....why do the Rangers and especially Henrik always s@#$ the bed when they play the Leafs.
HAPPY HOUR 12-06-2007, 06:47 PM Can't believe there would ever be a first place Ranger team that I would enjoy watching less.
MandyB 12-06-2007, 06:48 PM Yeah, this game is brutal. Only 26 total shots in 40 minutes of hockey, time to watch the 3rd period of Habs/Bruins.
I'm giving the Rangers one final chance. If we're still behind, I'm going to stop flipping back and forth and I'm watching whatever's left of the Habs/Bruins as well.
I can't believe I just said that. :help:
captainscott 12-06-2007, 06:50 PM It's stunning how badly we play when he's out.
you guys should send a letter and let gomez know he is allowed to throw a hit, he is soft but has two nice assists
theMessiah1194 12-06-2007, 06:50 PM again the 4th line is our best line
hockeyviper87 12-06-2007, 06:50 PM i think the 2nd the third lines are playing the best....its just the first....
FATCHAMALA11 12-06-2007, 06:51 PM has Straka scored a goal this year? and how many does Prucha have? Hossa also stinks..

hockeyviper87 12-06-2007, 06:52 PM rachunek is working out great for us in NJ what was your take on him as a ranger?
even worse defensively down low.....not strong....god hard shot.....ok skater.....maybe a good #5....maybe
hockeyviper87 12-06-2007, 06:53 PM has Straka scored a goal this year? and how many does Prucha have? Hossa also stinks..
to be honest, i think all of those players are playing well this game....hossa is hitting a lot and prucha is making some good plays and straka is the best player on the first line.....i would say jagr is just sucking tonite
Chimp 12-06-2007, 06:54 PM to be honest, i think all of those players are playing well this game....hossa is hitting a lot and prucha is making some good plays and straka is the best player on the first line.....i would say jagr is just sucking tonite
Jagr has sucked 20/25 games this season. I still can't figure out what the purpose of the third line is, apart from killing ice time. Drury is a $7 million third line center. Girardi has been really bad the last couple of games.
Renney is clueless what to do against the high forechecking.
shoothepuck 12-06-2007, 06:54 PM Big Valley in
FATCHAMALA11 12-06-2007, 06:55 PM Gilbert looked like he can outskate Malik there..
Nekix 12-06-2007, 06:55 PM Good call taking our Henrik. No reason to let him play the rest of this game if his team in front isn't helping.
theMessiah1194 12-06-2007, 06:56 PM rachunek is working out great for us in NJ what was your take on him as a ranger?
umm rachunek was a disaster
I guess pulling Henrik is good move
FATCHAMALA11 12-06-2007, 06:56 PM we get the penalty outta that.. awesome..
Nekix 12-06-2007, 06:57 PM And ****ing Malik takes out our #1 D.
BlueBlooded 12-06-2007, 06:57 PM So...Malik just high sticked Rozy. Do we get the option to put him in the box for four?
The Thomas J. 12-06-2007, 06:58 PM rachunek is working out great for us in NJ what was your take on him as a ranger?
I wasn't high on him @ all, no passion.
shoothepuck 12-06-2007, 06:58 PM Maliks stick takes out Rosie, and Cally takes a penalty, another great start to a period...
ThirdEye 12-06-2007, 06:58 PM Sigh, I was hoping to come back to something a little better than this
JerseyRangers 12-06-2007, 06:59 PM rachunek is working out great for us in NJ what was your take on him as a ranger?
Rachunek never looked comfortable as a Ranger. Unlike other posters here I didn't think he looked terrible -- just very unnoticeable (and not in a good way)! I always thought he was a better player then what he looked like with the Rangers. Not sure why!
The Thomas J. 12-06-2007, 06:59 PM Dumb penalty on cally, it was malik!!
And ****ing Malik takes out our #1 D.
So...Malik just high sticked Rozy. Do we get the option to put him in the box for four?
Its not enough Malik is killing tha fan base, now he is going after his own teammates

BlueBlooded 12-06-2007, 07:00 PM Fantastic. I'm pretty sure that our defense needs to start trying in their own end.
Jamie1 12-06-2007, 07:00 PM Its not enough Malik is killing tha fan base, now he is going after his own teammates

He's just trying to cement himself in the lineup for a few more games.
Karan 12-06-2007, 07:00 PM ouch :(
Bretzky* 12-06-2007, 07:00 PM rachunek is working out great for us in NJ what was your take on him as a ranger?
hahahaha. yea right. he was brutal in the beginning when the devils were brutal. the devils are winning now thanks to Brodeur and Parise and Rachunek has been more physical and proactive, definitely playing solid, but "working out great" is laughable because of how bad he was in the beginning. A 5 game stretch doesn't overshadow the previous 20 games.
bumrusherer 12-06-2007, 07:00 PM back to back beatdowns at home.

JerseyRangers 12-06-2007, 07:01 PM You know what -- I hope the Leafs pour it on. Put Malik out there every other shift and let he get destroyed! This is pathetic. Maybe they will decide to play against the Thrashers. This Sunday nite is gonna be sad if this is how we play!
ThirdEye 12-06-2007, 07:01 PM I guess this answers the question of whether or not the team is going to fold in december
Noonan25 12-06-2007, 07:01 PM rachunek has always been better than Malek, this guy is a BUM
MandyB 12-06-2007, 07:01 PM I think I'm glad I missed that... (The goal, that is.)
I think I'm done. This game has gone from bad to worse in a timespan of about 43 minutes -- give or take a few seconds.
The Thomas J. 12-06-2007, 07:01 PM He's just trying to cement himself in the lineup for a few more games.
Thats very pro active thinking on Maliks part.
FATCHAMALA11 12-06-2007, 07:02 PM can't wait to let 6 in tomorrow..
BlueBlooded 12-06-2007, 07:02 PM Are we allowed to just forfeit the game at this point out of fear that in the last fifteen minutes Malik is just gonna start clipping everyone in the face, and try to save some dignity?
The Thomas J. 12-06-2007, 07:02 PM rachunek has always been better than Malek, this guy is a BUM
Easy there killer, I know you're upset, but lets keep the crazy talk to ourselves.

except for our 4th
alright, well this ones in the books, alright, lets bounce back get the next two against a better ATL team and the hot devils. lose anyone of those games and its going to get really ugly
Chimp 12-06-2007, 07:03 PM That's it. I can't watch this crap. This will end in a blowout.
I'm sad when I'm right sometimes. :( You could see after 10 minutes of play that this team had no business succeeding with anything tonight.

The Thomas J. 12-06-2007, 07:04 PM I am an isles fan, and i feel bad for you guys watching him play. He just shouldnt be on the ice. :shakehead
I used to be such a staunch defender of Malik too, now I just want him to be a victim of "random" violence while walking the streets of any major city with a crime rate.
The Thomas J. 12-06-2007, 07:05 PM Hank didn't exactly look happy and relaxed on the bench.
he shouldn't be, he should sit tomorrow to, time to knock that kid down a peg or two.
Crash the Net 12-06-2007, 07:05 PM You guys are acting retarded. It's always blame Malik when we lose, what the hell did he do? Ok he had his stick up high for a 4 minute double minor. That's it. He played fine other than that, and that was only 1 out of the 5 retarded goals we've given up.
Face it, the whole team sucks right now.
FATCHAMALA11 12-06-2007, 07:05 PM maybe instead of sprints at practice they should have practiced actually getting the puck on net..
Bretzky* 12-06-2007, 07:05 PM Shouldn't have pulled Hank. Should've pulled Jagr, Malik, and Rozsival and sat them on the bench for the entire 3rd. Malik is so ****ING slow. He can't keep up with anyone. He gives players so much room. Roszival is a puss and when he's paired with Malik the two of them just look so useless sometimes. Jagr has got to cut the ****. His head isn't in it. It's not about confidence anymore. He's giving up on plays before they're actually over. He gets bumped or into traffic and he just stops skating completely and gives up on the puck. No excuse for that at all. None. Jagr needs a wakeup call.
Furthermore, why aren't these "veteran" players able to bring their game without Avery in the lineup. I know Avery provides a huge spark and it's wonderful for our team, but we can't just roll over and die without him. These last two games have been thoroughly disappointing.
RangersHockeyLetsGo 12-06-2007, 07:07 PM what a disgusting display of hockey, must be december
ThirdEye 12-06-2007, 07:07 PM A few beatdowns can't hurt right now. Maybe it'll sweep away this retarted indifference that this team seems to play with every day. Even the games we won this season I didn't feel too good about

FATCHAMALA11 12-06-2007, 07:10 PM Can we trade Jagr to the Blues for JD? I can't stand listening to the equal of Chico anymore.. I need some Ohhh Baby like I need more cowbell.
vbox81 12-06-2007, 07:11 PM I hope i'm repeating someone smarter than myself when I write "Malik and Strudwick in our defensecorp make us a worse team."
Also, I have reached the unfortunate conclusion that Jagr has reached the point in his career where is his not able to compete at a high level consistently. His lack of consistent committment, a seeming lack of interest in skating hard let alone playing defense, and the fact that he is not a real captain (Shanahan, please take the C) have weighed on me these past two years.
I was hoping that the shoulder injury was the reason for most of last year, but I believe he is relying on natural talent only at this point. Of course he is more talented than a high percentage of players, but it is too easy for a defensemen to guard against him at this point if he is not going to try hard.
EDIT: Oh yeah. Tell Renney that the fans DO NOT MIND SITTING A STAR TO SEND A MESSAGE. SIT JAGR NOW. Also, stop rolling all 4 lines when we're losing. Start doubleshifting the a line to create offense. And free Staal up from his Strudwickian hell. And give up the Hossa experiment. And give Prucha a shot at some REAL offensive time, let him prove to me that his defense stinks or whatever excuse you're using to keep him down. Finally, to Sather, I'm sure someone can use Dawes and Pock, get me something I can use if we have decided that they aren't going to be contributing.
Chimp 12-06-2007, 07:11 PM he shouldn't be, he should sit tomorrow to, time to knock that kid down a peg or two.
Knock down a peg or two? Are we talking about the same person? Lundqvist just happens to be a very humble guy. He's one of the few on this team who actually seems to hate losing.
And oh, the reason we beat Ottawa was because they were in their deepest slump of the season. And we beat the Islanders because they were beat from their schedule.
Bretzky* 12-06-2007, 07:11 PM he shouldn't be, he should sit tomorrow to, time to knock that kid down a peg or two.
Please. What did Lundqvist do wrong? The first goal was a completely lazy play by Gomez and our defense. Yea, Lundqvist gave up a rebound but Stajan was completely uncovered to smash a rebound in from 2 feet away. Where's the defense?? Where's the backchecking? The second goal the rebound fell into the crease, but again, Roszival is standing there watching with his stick in the air after Malik got caught way out of position :shakehead. We got completely outplayed on both goals. Nobody contests Sundin standing at the side of the net. The third goal was a PP goal after yet another bad penalty by the Rangers. The fourth was a deflection that no goalie stops without getting purely lucky.

FATCHAMALA11 12-06-2007, 07:14 PM If we didn't shoot wide every four outta five shots, we would have 80 shots on goal per game.
PruBlue25 12-06-2007, 07:16 PM No effort, all lead by the "captain"
Bretzky* 12-06-2007, 07:17 PM WHY do we pass the puck backwards 9/10 times when we regain the puck in our zone?? Even when we're not making a line change we do it wayyyyyy too much. It's like "ok we've got the puck. now get in position to forecheck and stop us in the neutral zone. we'll give it back soon, we promise" Don't they work on not doing this in practice?
