This is sort of similar to my previous thread Player Analysis I, with the exception of summary writing about specific players. I simply calculated the % of offense and % of a certain amount of defense that has been statistically proven as of yet.

Rangers in 27 games played have: GF: 62 / GA: 55

Offense % per player:

Jaromir Jagr: 21 points = 33.9%
Scott Gomez: 19 points = 30.6%
Brendan Shanahan: 18 points = 29%
Chris Drury: 17 points = 27.4%
Michal Rozsival: 15 points = 24.2%
Sean Avery: 9 points = 14.5%
Dan Girardi: 8 points = 12.9%
Petr Prucha: 7 points = 11.3%
Brandon Dubinsky: 7 points = 11.3%
Martin Straka: 6 points = 9.7%
Fedor Tyutin: 6 points = 9.7%
Paul Mara: 5 points = 8.1%
Marcel Hossa: 5 points = 8.1%
Nigel Dawes: 5 points = 8.1%
Marek Malik: 3 points = 4.9%
Marc Staal: 3 points = 4.9%
Blair Betts: 2 points = 3.2%
Jason Strudwick: 2 points = 3.2%
Colton Orr: 1 point = 1.6%
Ryan Hollweg: 1 point = 1.6%
Ryan Callahan: 1 point = 1.6%

Defense is a little harder now, can't really use statistics to calculate how good each man has been, we already know anyway, but I'll do blocked shots % and hits %

Rangers have delivered 734 hits in 27 games
Rangers have blocked 352 shots in 27 games

Jaromir Jagr = Blocked Shots: 8 = 2.3% / Hits: 14 = 1.9%
Scott Gomez = Blocked Shots: 8 = 2.3% / Hits: 18 = 2.5%
Brendan Shanahan = Blocked Shots: 21 = 6% / Hits: 18 = 2.5%
Chris Drury = Blocked Shots: 24 = 7% / Hits: 17 = 2.3%
Michal Rozsival = Blocked Shots: 37 = 10.5% / Hits: 32 = 4.4%
Sean Avery = Blocked Shots: 1 = 0.3% / Hits: 39 = 5.3%
Dan Girardi = Blocked Shots: 45 = 12.8% / Hits: 68 = 9.3%
Petr Prucha = Blocked Shots: 10 = 2.8% / Hits: 47 = 6.4%
Brandon Dubinsky = Blocked Shots: 9 = 2.6% / Hits: 63 = 8.6%
Martin Straka = Blocked Shots: 3 = 0.9% / Hits: 6 = 0.8%
Fedor Tyutin = Blocked Shots: 48 = 13.6% / Hits: 82 = 11.2%
Paul Mara = Blocked Shots: 29 = 8.2% / Hits: 34 = 4.6%
Marcel Hossa = Blocked Shots: 4 = 1.08% / Hits: 34 = 4.6%
Nigel Dawes = Blocked Shots: 10 = 2.84% / Hits: 18 = 2.5%
Marek Malik = Blocked Shots: 19 = 5.4% / Hits: 11 = 1.5%
Marc Staal = Blocked Shots: 19 = 5.4% / Hits: 38 = 5.2%
Blair Betts = Blocked Shots: 18 = 5.1% / Hits: 28 = 3.8%
Jason Strudwick = Blocked Shots: 18 = 5.1% / Hits: 24 = 3.3%
Colton Orr = Blocked Shots: 8 = 2.3% / Hits: 44 = 6%
Ryan Hollweg = Blocked Shots: 5 = 1.4% / Hits: 68 = 9.3%
Ryan Callahan = Blocked Shots: 6 = 1.7% / Hits: 30 = 4.1%

shouldn't the amount of games per player be used instead of the total games played by the rangers?

either way shouldn't it end up being, 27 games * 18 for position players besides goalie per game. instead of the 27

Forwards-Hits
Hollweg
Dubinsky
Prucha

nice

although if you count games played I'd assume Callahan would be #2.

I just did the total Rangers statistics for their total 27 games played, obviously some people have higher %'s of things due to their games played vs a teammates games played, but I didn't go too technical with it all.

slapped this together real quick. Updated to reflect games played (labeled Full, was too lazy to think up another name).

Callahan #2 in hitting and Sean Avery #1. Both ahead of Mr. Hollweg...
