fortheloveof666 12-01-2007, 12:44 PM Yeah sure, we all appreciate Zach's first hat trick...it was amazing. But let's show a little love to the guy who played not only a solid game, but might have had the save of the game in terms of it actually being a shutout.
If we go down 1-0 who knows what happens...but thanks to Greene, it didn't happen.
:yo:

You don't get one until you explain that text over your avatar

It's a typo...It should say "Mottau!! Mottau!!"
Right? :sarcasm:

Mocking stupid ranger fans who would scream "Matteau" after Stephan Matteau scored on Marty in double OT in game 7 of the '94 ECF. They have had nothing to say since, so any time someone tries to say something to me at msg, I just scream "Matteau, Matteau" and tell them to give it up, that they have nothing to brag about and that their team has been a disgrace to the NHL...usually that quiets everyone which is weird, but that must mean what I'm saying is correct. :)

Between you and RangersRule! I'm starting to get very confused around here.

Is it sad that I actually hoped that was the case?
Game Breaker 12-01-2007, 01:12 PM Why is it so confusing? Mocking them for throwing that in our faces when it turns out that Brodeur will be going down as the best goaltenders in history after giving up that awkward goal?
fortheloveof666 12-01-2007, 01:12 PM by the way, I know appreciation threads can be over done...but I think plenty of people appreciate Zach. How can't you? The guy plays every shift like it's his last. Even if he didn't produce, that kind of play is just well worth appreciating.
Andy on the other hand, just came off being a scratch, he's a rookie, and I just think he deserves a tip of the hat for making an absolutely amazing play.
I really think he's going to be a great asset to this team for years to come. barring any serious injuries.

Personally, I would just bring a broom with me every time I went to MSG ;)

I was going to start the anti-appreciation appreciation thread just after you made this one but decided against it. I appreciate all the guys.. well maybe not a couple, but still most of em. Anyways, I decided to not be a stick in the mud and let people have their fun/worship.

Poor Bambi.

I love that name for him. It's so fitting. :biglaugh:

haha it really is.
I gotta say though, what pisses me off about him last night is, he didn't play THAT bad. But for a guy who can skate pretty well, sans the bambi on ice ****, there are just very few reasons he should get burnt like he did last night. Good thing Rachunek is a good, intelligent D-man because if not, it's probably a goal or a way way better chance than it was.

You just made Rangers and Senators fans do a double take there. Can you imagine saying that a month ago? But it's true, he did a great job playing defence yesterday (and as of late). I think Robinson/Albelin's been having some productive talks with him.
Oduya really hasn't been that bad, but after those PS'd picks of him with antlers started popping up I can't stop laughing every time he falls down.
Hellsempire 12-01-2007, 07:42 PM Greene has been playing good all season and it pissed me off that he was a healthy scratch the other game. Greene is one of our best defenseman this season.

I was heaaaaaaaaaated at first. But honestly, after reading the reasoning. I don't mind... Plus we still won, so it didn't hurt THAT bad. But maybe it did some good, maybe it did help to sit on the sideline for a game just watch it live and think about if he were out there.
This is the tactic suggested for Elias that everyone was so against. I think it can do some good.

Elias needs more than a game healthy scratch. He is just not the player he was years ago. I will not get into the Elias saga here.
I can agree with you on the Greene and the reasonings on why he was a healthy scratch.

elias has had to deal with alot on and off the ice this year and i think, considering he hasnt played center in years, he has been pretty good on the line with zach and gio. and he also has gotten a little unlucky

gio and parise are sailing away without him. i really wanna chalk it up to the hepatitus...but hes shown us that wasnt the case. so i dunno....but yea....whole other thread.
props to greene:handclap:
MoonDragn 12-03-2007, 11:09 AM Elias was a little out of synch last night with Parise and Gio. But still looked pretty good out there.
DevilDog 12-03-2007, 11:17 AM Andy still needs to shoot more often, he's got a pretty accurate point shot. I'd like to see him use it.
MoonDragn 12-03-2007, 11:31 AM Yeah Andy's not been as hungry for the net as I saw in the beginning of the season. He needs to shoot the puck on net more and carry the puck wide deep into the zone for some scoring chances.
