Which guy do you look for to score that game tying/winning goal, make a play, or just lay out a player? Who is our best clutch player?

Score a goal: Parise.
Lay out a player: we don't have anyone and haven't since Stevens to fill this role.

I believe it was Zach Parise last season. Little to early in this season.

The more I see now that he's back - the more I am realizing just how big a role he plays on this team.

I think White is our new hit-man.

I'd say Brodeur, but I put Langs because I thought we were talking about clutch goals.

Parise for sure followed closely by Langenbrunner. Parise should get an A soon, he hustles every shift.

after last night, i would wanna say clarkson would be the go to guy for a hit (although dallas did score right after his hit last night haha)

just in general, it doesnt necessarily have to be goals, it could be a defensive play, etc, whatever u consider more clutch

I say Jamie followed by Gionta.. Gionta always seems to get a big goal but Jamie has been clutch for a while

Last year, it was always Gionta scoring goals with a minute left in the 3rd to tie the game. Langenbrunner is really streaky. It would have to be Gio or Zach.

Pandolfo or Parise, but I'd choose pandolfo since it's amazing he has so many goals on the shutdown line.

I don't think a goalie can be considered clutch. Doesn't clutch mean that you are down and need to get back into the game. A goalie can only keep you in a game, not tie it up or win it.

If you think of 'clutch' as someone you can always count on than Brodeur easily wins this.

Langenbrunner. It's no coincidence this team is on a winning streak since his return. It doesn't necessary mean that he scores the clutch goals always, but he makes clutch plays. Assists, hits, backckecking etc....the guy's the total package.

Gionta has scored a ton of crucial and game winning goals for New Jersey

I'd say that White and Clarkson are the two that consistently lay out the opponent's guys.

Sarge is one of our most clutch players. He's come through a little bit this year, but he doesn't score a lot of goals, but usually when he does they're clutch goals. Like that goal against Pitt last year when he scored almost exactly like Ovechkin did and got absolutely no acknowledgment for it.

I know almost no one will agree with me, I don't care...I really think he's a clutch player that simply doesn't stand out.

Definately Langs. Even if he doesn't score, hes still clutch. Like the winning goal last night. He took his time coming into the zone and feathered a perfect pass to Zubrus. That goal was a tap in. Obviously Marty is going to make the big saves when we need it the most, but Langs is our best clutch forward in my opinion.

Gionta is pretty clutch.

Gionta.. need a late game tying/winning goal? He usually got it. I think people have forgotten that after his injury plagued season last year.

Went with Jamie, especially in the playoffs... Although Gio with seconds ticking away and our net empty is a pretty close second.

Marty is always awesome. He is perma-clutch. Kinda unfair for the poll.

went with parise. anytime the kid is on the ice...i always feel hes gonna do something. sure he has some clutch catching up to do to match marty, madden, langs etc. but hes only gonna get better.

Langenbrunner - The guy typically becomes a superstar in the spring.

im watching the 2003 cup dvd as we speak, and its unreal how clutch langs was that year

i dont understand how this isnt a marty landslide. think of how many one goal games we have had. im shocked. maybe because he doesnt have the winning goal and he gets forgotten by people, i dont know but WOW im shocked.
