It was probably food poisoning...

Elias is fine now, he practiced with the team yesterday and will play tomorrow vs the Stars in his usual spot these days; as center between Parise and Gionta.

It's been over 2.5 years since he contracted Hepatitis A, so I think his immune system should be fine by now. Some people do go into relapse, but I'm pretty sure it would be uncommon for someone to do so 2.5 years after treatment.

I still have Elias in my Hockey's Future Pool, I'm hoping he starts producing and catch me back up to the top 100... I'm behind #100 by about 20 pts :( Damn that Alexander Semin.

I'm no Dr. so maybe we should let DF38 answer this one being in Med-school and all (if memory serves me right).

But I'm pretty sure the effects of Hep anything never really go away. Sort of the way getting a bronchial illness can effect your lungs long-term.

Now don't get me wrong, I don't think it's like the guy has AIDS or something and the common cold is going to render him useless, but I do think that maybe his immune system isn't completely up to par where it normally would be anymore.

On the other hand, I just came down with the flu...or at least something of that nature and I'll tell ya, it's pretty brutal. I feel like a ****ing skyscraper fell on me while I was sleeping.

And you and Mr. Elias are tied for points over the past 3 games... eerie coincidence. Have any letters recently fallen off any of your shirts?

yea im pretty sure your right, i think its a virus so it always stays in your system, like herpes, once you have it it stays with you, you just have to control it. (not that i would know)

Its a virus that affects the liver, its symptoms include nausia, jaundice and low grade fever. Since its a virus with no cure, you can only treat the symptoms.

The reason for the scare is because the symptoms are similar to the stomach flu, more commonly known as food poisoning. Thats what Elias claimed it was instead.

Your fantasy team sucks.

obviously i was looking pool info....however my team rips, elias is the only one sucking.

.....I can only make trades while a player is out of the lineup, and only have two winger trades, so I was thinking about ditching mr. hepburger for a better winger, but it is risky as one of my other wingers could go down long term and i'm stuck wishing i had not wasted a trade.

who do you pick up....langenbrunner, erat, boyes, doan, p.m. bouchard, huselius, horton, d. brown, kunitz??????

Heheh - it comes from love... [tough] love for sure ;)

It's the next bestest thing to wikipedia!

... and you pickup Langenbrunner for sure. PP goals waiting to drip off his stick every game.
