In all the new arena excitement I totally forgot that as I was walking around during the 2nd period with my wife, father-in-law, and his friend, we ran into Pat Burns. He recognized my father-in-law and his coworker from them being in the media, so he came up to them to say hi, and we were introduced to him.
He says he feels good, and he does look good. You'd never know he'd been battling cancer. It was really good to see that he looked and sounded like he was in great shape.

That's great news! I'm glad he's doing well and REALLY glad he is still part of the Devils organization... I was afraid if he didn't get the coaching job he would go somewhere else...

Glad Pat is doing well.
I do not think he will ever return to coaching...... just too risky for a setback. let him enjoy is current life. IMO.

Nah, not a hat person. I was wearing a blue Charlestown Chiefs #17 jersey. It's kind of weird, I wear that jersey to every game I go to that's not a Ranger game but I have never before had as many people quoting the movie to me as I did this time. Maybe it's because I spent half the game exploring the arena so I saw more people than I normally would have otherwise. Either way, by the end of the day I'm pretty sure I heard every line from the movie.

I saw you, long hair dude. It's cool that you don't wear your Rangers jersey to games when the Rangers are not playing the Devils. I saw a few older broads wearing Rangers jerseys last night, they were just asking for the comments/abuse.
