I was pondering this earlier this morning and think maybe it's a good suggestion to bring up. Maybe the Mods would be opposed to it and would rather things be my consolidated but I figure to take a general consensus from everyone might be a way to see if it's a worthy idea.
On game days we have our GDT's which are a staple of the message board, without a doubt. It's great to have the first post be pretty informative, lays out the team stats and everything and gives a great preface to the discussion and the forthcoming game.
But something to me which has been a bit annoying is post-game discussions chunked into the same thread which often exceeds 12 pages of posts depending on the game. Now it's obvious that the conversation basically just transitions into post-game talk once the game ends. But for those at the game, or just simply not around it's a little annoying having to search through the thread to see where one discussion ends and another begins. Not to mention the fact that with extremely long threads it becomes a little more difficult to not repeat something someone has said or even keep up with the discussion if you're not there when it starts.
So pragmatically speaking, what do you all think of maybe posting Post-Game threads with the score, important stats (goals, assists, saves, 3 stars, fights etc.) and prefacing the discussion with that, similarly to the pre-game/GDT? That way people, say in Canada, that don't get to see the game for some reason can easily browse through the GDT and get the play-by-play some people love to do, get peoples thoughts and basically can read through the whole game simply in that thread. So then with that they can at least know enough about the game, without having seen it, to discuss it in a Post-Game thread.
I just think it makes it a little more convenient overall, although in some ways inconvenient. But I thought it was at least a concept worth exploring with everyone. Your thoughts?
