Sutter is going nowhere...if we lose a couple more on home ice in the next three expect a blockbuster without or without Langenbrunner/White back.

NO, Sutter is a winner surrounded by a team of losers. Firing him would make our losers even losier. (is that a word?)

What is Sutter supposed to do with the lack of talent he has around him? We don't have a very good team that's all. As fans we are used to this team pulling off the unthinkable, and winning each year. Those days just may be over, but they also may not. It's still not Sutter fault.

It's not Sutter's fault that this team can't put crap into the net.

I think the hiring of Sutter was LL's last great move. Everything else he's done has sucked.

I just don't think this team is built to be a Sutter type team. You look at the teams that he won with at the WJC. He used physical forwards and a really really physical defense. Our team looks fast, soft and lacking finish.

I think this may be the year we really have to re look at our scouting department. They just haven't seemed to be effective since mid to late 90's even considering the late picks. How many of our draft picks up front have been known as physical....NONE. Clarkson and Pelley are not draft picks.

He should beat them in the locker room or something. That'll toughen them up.

Exactly. Firing Sutter is one of the most ridiculous statements I've heard in a while. Let's face it. Lou has to take some of the blame here. He assembled this team. Zubrus for 6 years? Rachunek is a defensive liability. Vishnevski moves like he's in quicksand. Etc.

In all honesty I wouldn't put most of the blame on him for this slow start. Certainly he's done some bad things, changing up lines every single game for one, but the players themselves are forgetting to do some of the most basic things like making a proper line change. I think we'll get better.

Although watching Pat Burns in the pregame tonight made me wish he was still our coach I loved the guy.

We are not 10 games in like you seem to think. This is a theme that has been going on since 2004 when Stevens and Daneyko were gone. 2004 Philly beat us around the whole ice in the first round. 2006 we were on a hot streak but then got physically dominated by Carolina. Last year we got physical dominated by Tampa but Parise carried us, then Ottawa beat us to the ice.

This team can still win this year but it will not be Devils hockey. Some say defense is the reason we won for years, I think it was our physical game and size that allowed us to play such a great defense.

Also, I was only joking in regards to my trades. This isn't a process that will come over night, one trade will send us in the right direction though.

Once again I really think our scouting has to change, the draft records speak for themselves.

Do you know who drafted Zach, Travis, Marty, and 85% of our team. The scouts you just critized!! One trade will not put us in the right direction, its a team sport. WE had more shots then them, what would you like them to do? ONe thing I did like, I liked seeing Brylin with Gio and Zach. The team just has to shoot more and create traffic in front of the net. We need some garbage goals.

There was a time when I use to be proud of the Devils posters on these boards, today, alot of them are proving to be nothing but a bunch of spoiled crybabies.
