Swapping with someone from Cincy, making room for a trade or maybe Leclerc?
Spankatola Jamnuts 01-12-2004, 11:41 PM Sound to me like Dan's done for good (http://www.latimes.com/sports/la-sp-duckrep13jan13,1,3131875.story?coll=la-headlines-sports).
"The bottom line, as anyone can see, is, we're not scoring any goals," Coach Mike Babcock said. "Dan did a great job here. He can be proud of himself."
Too bad effort never gets rewarded, despite all the cliches spouted to the contrary.
Jerky Leclerc 01-12-2004, 11:52 PM Bylsma was a good player for us. If this is indeed the end, I wish him the best.
190Octane 01-13-2004, 12:42 AM I actually think Bylsma provides what this team needs which is heart and leadership.
I'm sad to see him go.

It's actually a shame really.....I didn't really care about johnson leaving, but I have always liked bylsma. I'm not happy with this one.
McDonald19 01-13-2004, 01:21 PM call up Severson!
Fighter 01-13-2004, 09:32 PM Great guy for sure, but I said it before, this team need to rebuilding and if this team survived the loss of Kariya, we will survive the loss of Bylsma.
Good luck Dan!
Randall Graves* 01-13-2004, 09:39 PM Wow is Babcock a hypocrite or what?I thought he wanted hard working players that brought it everynight?your going to cut dan but not send Chistov down?
babcock is slowly starting to get on my nerves.

Sounds like the Carolina Hurricanes to me. :(
I've always liked Dan, and it will be sad if this is the end of his career with the Ducks (or end of his career, period). I would be even sadder if Carney were traded. He shares the same first name as me, for chrissakes.

I think Carney will get traded at the deadline. He can bring us a first round pick or a good young player. Or we can let him walk for nothing during the summer. I predict Carney as the most likely player gone from Anaheim March 9th...Simpson will also be traded for a mid to late round pick.

Did we survive the loss of Kariya?

I think the same. The way he played this year was a big disappointment, better have a pick than nothing at the end of the season.
I hope instead that Simpson will remain here. :yo:

:dunno: Maybe not really
Fan.At 01-15-2004, 07:23 AM Dan cleared waivers and is going to Cincy. That's the best what could have happen in this situation. He will teach the prospects in Cincy and will help in the big league if needed.
Ducksfan2035 01-15-2004, 12:16 PM if we traded carney for just a pick, how is that improving the team?..unless we get someone good in return but i like carney alot and i think he should stay
