Greetings Ducks fans!
Ok, here's the update on one of your prospects....Cornell's Shane Hynes.
I caught several Cornell games recently. I saw them in the Florida Everblades College Classic (one of several NCAA Holiday Tournaments) and more recently on Friday night versus conference rival Harvard.
Here's the skinny.....
He currently plays on Cornell's 3rd line with LW Mike Knoepfli (a Leafs prospect) and RW Daniel Pegoraro. This line was quite effective in the games I saw. Hynes busted out with 2 PPGs in the Friday game vs. Harvard. He's good size (6'3/210) and uses it quite effectively. He also has exceptional hands and great with the puck. One area that he's very good in is along the boards. He's aggressive, tenacious and a real battler, whether it's to maintain or gain puck control.
BTW, if you want to read how Hynes did and more in Friday's game, please check out myGame Notes (1/9): Cornell vs. Harvard (http://www.hfboards.com/showthread.php?threadid=42573) thread over on the NCAA boards.
